Sign On: I'm Girl. Worth? Wise? Civil Svc/ Outside No Job?

  Hello, 
  
  Hope some kind souls will help me with this. 
  
  I completed my polytechnic studies recently, and graduated with a merit diploma - Biz IT course. Applied for local universities, got offers from NTU/NUS but didn't managed to get into SMU (my choice of uni) and the courses offered to me by the former was not the course I wanted. (not my 1st choice)
  
  Currently, I am offered a scholarship by the force. I not sure if I should sign on with force? Six years bond. None of my female friends have the thoughts of signing on. I am definitely fine working with in a male-dominated environment, love the camaradarie, and many other factors. Is there height restrictions? I'm only standing at 1.58m, petite sizeI would say (not skinny, but ok size lah). 
  
  All the females in the force - short hair? Can someone enlighten me like how's life for a female in the force? In every 10 guys, there's only 1 female?
  
  Please HELP!
