Post-BMT Training
After completing their BMT, servicemen who have performed well and are assessed to possess leadership qualitites will be sent to either Officer Cadet School (OCS) or Specialist Cadet School (SCS) to be trained as commanders.
For the rest of the majority, they will be sent to various
vocational courses to be trained in their respective vocations.
Thereafter, they will be posted to various units/ camps all over
Singapore.

Mono-intakes refers to conscripts who are directly enlisted into battalion
units and undergo their basic military training there, bypassing
the Pulau Tekong BMT. They are mostly trained to be riflemen in riflemen companies in a typical battalion.
While the rest of a typical battalion, e.g. HQ Coy, Support Coy...etc, will be staffed by the higher-educated NSFs from the Pulau Tekong BMT, OCS, SCS, and NSFs who have completed their specialised vocational courses such as signallers, medics...etc.
