i was wondering what if i turn up on that whereby my BMI is below 26.9 as i'm only 0.2 above the ' cut ' . and i was wondering that does standard batch of bmt totally rule out the possibility of going into command school. and i'm considering signing on but i only have two o level passes but i have 6 N(A) level passes which is 15 points(L1B2L2) . thinking of being a specialist however, i want to try my luck in bmt first and experience the whole ' army' thing before deciding on something so important.
Yes, please experience the NS first before thinking of.
Anyway, BMT is like a school holiday camp. The real actual military soldier life starts in the NS unit life. That is, after BMT, after post-BMT vocation course, then permanent posting to a NS unit.
Hi,
Take Care Of Ur Own Brother, then Other Brothers, then come SIsters, Families, etc.
Love Life... Calm Yourself ...
Think about Fight "for Urself" then after "for Ourself" then after "for Others"
Study the History of Great Planners, whereby they can do some deep thoughts.
Mount Lu or Lushan (simplified Chinese: åºå±±; traditional Chinese: 廬山; pinyin: LúshÄn)
BMT = Basic Mind Teaching = Boh Miah Thiam
Firstly, know how to keep ur own mouth shut
Secondly, know how to keep other people mouth shut
Thirdly, know how to keep everybody mouth shut
Only Big LOVE then No WAR.
Therefore, Just Obey Orders unless You know Life at stake which prevent you from LOVE , especially to goback oftens, no like last time NS.
So STFU and beware of STD.

High BMI is ok, as long as you can pass IPPT.
Every batch got people ORD, and they will in turn need replacement officers and specialists, so as long as you performed well in BMT, you stand a chance of going command school.
I think there's education requirements to become an officer, minimum is A level or poly if I'm not wrong.
As for the rest who sign on, they will all be promoted to specialists eventually.
However, I would not encourage you to sign on. Your wages are determined by your qualifications. N level holders are the lowest paid of all. Signing on with N levels mean you do not have any special skills, and they would most likely put you in dead-end vocations, such as infantry or storeman, and these people are going to have problem finding jobs when they leave the army after their bond.
Go upgrade yourself first, retake O levels and go poly. Get a useful skill and higher qualifications before you sign on.

Types of Basic Military
Training
PES A/B1
BMT
This 9-week programme trains combat-fit recruits in the basic
military skills to prepare them for advanced vocational training.
The programme includes weapon training with the SAR 21 rifle which
will teach recruits technical handling and marksmanship skills; a
Battle Inoculation Course that simulates a real battlefield; a
Field Camp which develops basic survival skills; progressive
training to complete a 24-km route march which builds combat
fitness and endurance; and hand grenade training.
For those who fail to achieve the
NAPFA test silver award, they are required to undergo an 8-week
Physical Training Phase (PTP) prior to the PES A/B1
BMT.
PES BP
BMT
As evidence has shown that obese recruits are able to achieve
optimum fitness levels and weight loss in about 19 weeks, the new
BMT programme for recruits with Body Mass Index (BMI) scores
exceeding 27.0 will be 19 weeks. This BMT programme is designed to
help obese recruits improve their physical fitness progressively
while equipping them with basic soldiering skills and
knowledge.
PES B2
BMT
Enlistees who were PES C1 previously underwent a 7-week BMT
programme. The new 9-week PES B2 BMT programme will be conducted
for recruits who are medically fit for deployment in selected
combat and combat support vocations, such as signal operators,
combat medics and naval system operators. These recruits will be
given a new medical classification of PES B2, in place of the
existing PES C1 classification. This is to ensure that the medical
classification of our soldiers is consistent with their deployment.
The new 9-week programme will include customised physical training,
as well as basic combat training to prepare them for their combat
and combat support roles.
PES C
BMT
The 9-week BMT programme will be conducted for PES C recruits. This
programme will include light physical training and vocational
training to prepare them for combat service support vocations, such
as service medic, and those related to logistics and
administration.
PES E
BMT
The 4-week BMT programme will be conducted for PES E recruits. This
programme will focus on, vocational training as well as National
Education, SAF core values, regimentation and discipline to prepare
recruits for combat service support vocations.
Confinement Period = Enlist Date + 2 weeks
