it depends on your company. usage of these facilities would usually require supervision. however, your sergeants would more often than not do so, especially if you are genuinely enthusiastic and motivated to improve your fitness.Originally posted by mudfreak:can recruit gain access to the gym in tekong during free time?

hi there saab, i got skin problems, quite serious, got rash red marks nearly all around my neck, elbow, arm. actually i dont think i will be excuse frm training or such, dont wan to get called chao geng or wad...but i think my skin problem will worsen if i sweat alot more...

Answer: E 2 canteens in tekong dun sell beer. This applies to all canteens in all camps in e whole of SAF. For recs U only get to taste beer only when u book out.Originally posted by mudfreak:Hi... i'm new to this forum

Hey guys if you got a earhole, during bmt can you wear a earstick at night while you sleep to prevent it from closing or you have no choice but to let it close.

anyway as of now (nobody knows if they will change it later), BMT is 2 mths to 4 mths, for enhanced/standard and enhanced/standard + PTP respectively.
and as of now, you will be confined for the first 3 weeks of your BMT. subsequently, you book out every weekend. -
hmm..how long is standard bmt??? i hear school 2 is slacker... is it >? i'm posted there. how to cope with emotional stuff... i guess i'll feel v sian and frustrated with everything.. from cannot bath, to yelled everyday.. how do i cope with these ?

doesnt matter - if i tell u it is, and turns out it isnt (at least to you) then wont it defeat all the purpose? no point assuring you here. its for you to find out. but take heart that LOTS have gone through the system and came out well if not better.
adaptation takes time, to varying degrees depending on the individual. however if u feel like u cannot handle it when you enlist, you can speak to your PC, or to the Orientation Officer, in full confidence. -

Almost everyone has gone through it without any adverse effect.My advice to you is that you should take care of yourself, don't get into any trouble.Use the avenues for help when you need it, don't be afraid.Ignore those that call you wimp, sissy or chao-keng.You know yourself best and if you have a genuine problem, people will help you.Do not hide sickness or injury for you never know they can get aggravated.If you really have trouble keeping up, talk to your PC or PS.I'm sure they will be quite willing to listen to you if you have been quite a good, cooperative person.

Sch 1 or sch 2 siong? It all depends on heng suay. Both schs hve siong n lobo companies in them. So is either u kana a very siong one or a lobo coy. Who say cannot bath? thats only during field camp, but oso gt power bath 4 u. In camp, U may be even required 2 bath together w ur buddies, 3 in 1 cubicle, its nt a joke! No time 4 u to take ur own sweet time to bath like hme n u bath in cold water too. -
bmt 2 months only? i thought it was 3 months for normal...

Enhanced BMT
10 weeks
This course trains combat-fit commander-potential recruits in the basic military skills. These recruits usually go on to do Specialists or Officer courses to become commanders. The Enhanced BMT has additional modules to train and select these recruits. For those who failed to achieve the NAPFA test silver award, they are required to undergo a 6-week Physical Training Phase prior to the Enhanced BMT.
Standard BMT
8 weeks
To train recruits meant for combat vocations such as those who will be assigned to units as signallers, combat medics and military policemen, etc after their BMTC. The training is similar to that for Enhanced BMT, less the modules on training and selection of commanders. Similarly, those who failed to achieve the NAPFA test silver award are also required to attend a 6-week Physical Training Phase before attending the actual BMT.
Modified BMT
7 weeks
To train recruits of lower medical fitness for assignment to selected service vocations after completing BMT. Training objectives and intensity are lower to reflect the lower combat fitness of this group of recruits.
Obese BMT
16 weeks
The objective is to reduce the weight of the obese recruits. More time is devoted to progressive physical training. Those who have the necessary capabilities will be selected for further leadership training in OCS and SISPEC.
Induction Program
1 week
The objective of the induction program is to familiarise recruits with the organisation and culture of the SAF. This program is catered for recruits with serious medical conditions.
Women BMT
2 weeks & 8 weeks
The 2 weeks course is for women in service vocation, while the 8 weeks course is for those in combat vocation. -

yap they rotate e pes status intake. so each coy wont always take in pes A or always pes C n so on. Take 4 eg, D in sch 1 n L in sch 2 r more welfare compare 2 J in sch 1 n M in sch 2.
