A Full-time National Serviceman, REC Chew Heng Huat, Andrew, 20, passed away at 7.00pm this evening at the Singapore General Hospital.
REC Chew collapsed during a 2.4-km run at Basic Military Training School 1. He was given immediate medical attention and was heli-evacuated to hospital.
MINDEF is conducting an investigation.

7 hrs of sleep and drink up is not emphaised and progressive training is not done properly

we mus be careful not to be too overtaken by the fact that these events occured in close succession. the total number of accidents in this year may have been unimpressive. but the fact tt these 3 incidents all occured within a short period of time makes it seem as though alot of incidents happened.
regarding the tsr, whether it has been implemented on the ground as it should haf been is more likely questionable than whether it itself requires relook. alot of times its human errors and not the system (in this case the tsr) tt causes accidents. -
