The target will come up once and then down to signal us to run to the second position. There is this joker who miss a target at the previous position and thought that the signal target is a target. He fired off when the rest of us is running to the second position in front of him!!! Fucking shocked when the rest of the firers and me heard the shot goes off! He is a 3SG some more......haiz.....![]()

when was ur ns?Originally posted by jacobs:Unforgettable events quite afew.....
1. Chiong suah times.... however brunei wasn't siong coz my unit did a 32km route march at pasir laba prior to brunei. We had gd combat fitness. It was the feeling, really super damn freaking low morale.... especially jungle village.... Then afew times at lim chu kang, first was section proficiency test. My friend got heat exhaustion under that hot weather.... really shagged out, body numbed still have to casuavec my section mate.. Second was recently, Platoon battlecourse at lim chu kang again... two guys fall out, hyper-ventilation. At the end of it, Casuavec again. The weather.....
2.Punishments, i think this punishment is nothing to commandos though. There was a refreshment talk on chemical defence, and some of our guys were sleeping behind. Some not that cooperative, did things slowly. Our punishment? Walk and run around our parade square in Mopp4 (typo, i don't know the right spelling). Followed by standby bed in 5mins, we were preparing for alert red and our bunks were in a mess. When that Pl sergeant came, of course we didn't make it in time. So he say," nvm, i want your bunk to be the same as the day you enter army ". Everything went out of the door. Everything in our cupboard, our pillows and bed cushions weapons etc. Cupboards fall, mirrors break. It changed my attitude towards my superiors on that day. I don't care that much now. Although i have seen other platoons carried their stuff (cupboard and bed) to empty bunks and have standby bed over there then carry back....
3.Of course there are times where we enjoyed ourselves, my friend coming back from outfield was so hungry that he took a empty tray and demand rice from the cookhouse aunty," ah boy, no plate leh ".
But after spending so much time bonding, some had downgraded and/or posted out.
it mus haf felt great when u all completed the challenge?Originally posted by frOst^~^nOva:One of the more shacked exp is to build a 5 bay MGB ( i think it stands for Meider Gellar Bridge) it is a friking heavy bridge tt a section( 6 men and 2 commanders ) were supposed to build across a water gap... it usually takes abt slightly more than an hr to construct and launch but one day our RSM challanged us to do it under 30 mins or we are not allowed to book out... (it wuz a long weekend tt day) so we LL suck thumb and do loh... it wuz one of the most siong 30 mins of my ns life... macham like running soc 3 times consecutively.... sibei sibei shacked...![]()

this sounds perfectly possible man... and legitimateOriginally posted by jacobs:This following story is heard by me, not experienced by me.
The crime: caught smoking in bunk.
The punishment: The men were ask to take a filled and an empty jerry can, along with a green mug. One jerry can is place on one end of the parade square. Their punishment is to fill the green mug with water from the filled jerry can, leopard crawl to the other end to fill the empty jerry can with the water in the green mug and leopard crawl back until they fill the empty jerry can. They probably did in under the hot sun til the next day.

It is hendon camp's parade square, if you've been there... it's pretty big.... and to leopard crawl on the steaming concrete ground. I leopard crawl a short distance and feel my elbows and knees burning already. Possible.... yes, legitimate......?Originally posted by wuming78:this sounds perfectly possible man... and legitimate![]()
