how do pple get above 2SG & LTA for NS?

not too sure abt 2SG. specs here can help? i noe local 2SG def no prob. another way is for performing 3SG to be sent to PS cse, and be appointed as NSF PS after they come back from the cse, thereby gaining the 2SG rank.Originally posted by Nothingie:saw the list, but...

for 2LT to reach LTA, it usually takes one yr of service. this is std - no need to attend cse or anything. jus dun screw up big time.

I noe pple can get 2SG & LTA, but in the list, it gives all the ranks, but how are the higher ranks attainable only by NS?

what is this allowance thing? isit the salary?

just for info, rank promotion do have little increment in the pay but in between range from 50 bucks to 250 bucks... for course attended dont have... -
