For me, I am a PTP enlistee, PES B. Seargents quite nice, just don't piss them off, or you will find them asking you to "half-left down" more times than you will breathe...
So far, can see OC is a soft-hearted person (he told us he watches Pokemon whenever he books out), and we get a little bit more welfare (I think). So far, in the X days, there are about 2 canteen breaks for my entire company.
I think I am lucky to be in a platoon with a nice PC, PS and OC... At least the tekaning is not so bad. Even so, I managed to clock 250 push ups yesterday (I guess its a record for a X-day-old recruit, eh?)
Better not say too much in case anyone is listening and figures out where I am from... Shhhh......

ya, ptp not as rush as bmt... but u serve xtra months for tat...Originally posted by jacobs:Gentlemen, to me, PTP was the "holiday" of my ns life during my first yr. No outfield and no rifle. They are more focused on your discipline and physical fitness. During my ptp time, we seldom get knock down for stupid reasons. The sergeants were nice, helping us adapt to camp life. There was a feeling of fellowship, however, once bmt started.... you can expect more from your sergeants. Rifle PT... extras, confinement..... Sidetracking, i just got 5 extras from slpping on sentry duty. Yeah!![]()

quite curious ah
how you clock 250 pushups a day... a few sets of 20s, 30s, 50s liddat ah?
and how they train ppl to do chinups one?
generally ptp is most cannot do chinups rite?
wat's the chinup rountine like ah
haha... trying to perfect the Chinup from Zero to 30 within 1 month exercise programme....
next time sell to ppl
this question is for everyone ah
wat's your most xiong personal physical training?
for me, my sadistic rountine is 150 pushups at one go then repeat for next set
do until chest so tight that cannot bring elbows together![]()

now orion is standard batch si boh? sure kanna f**k one..Originally posted by pkchukiss:Hmmm... PTP is quite slack (I actually got to sleep in the day sometimes, often for 3 hrs in a row). However, you have to compensate that for when fatigue duty comes... You will have to do "sai kang" (shit work), which I honestly feel is quite true.
One good example. One day, my platoon went on fatigue duty (supposed to carry some big boards back to company line). A few days later, another platoon was sent to return it. Board apparently was untouched between the two times.
Anyway, the training is manageable. Circuit training is the worst in my opinion, especially the very first one (I was in pain the day after the first one), but subsequent ones I was able to take it in my stride.
Any lesson with PTIs (Physical Training Instructors) equals to push-up opportunity. They ask you to knock it down for the smallest matter. Perhaps preparation for BMT? So far, I have seen the best PTIs and (what I think) the worst PTIs. The nice ones are very nice, the horrors are tyrants...
As for push-ups, we have a very weird routine.. Before knocking it down, we clap our hands twice and shout out the company name. Mostly, the people there gave me only 20 per set, but on days when they are terribly pissed off.... can even reach 40 in a set. Then we switch positions and do crunches. Alternate between the two and that is one set of punishment.
For me, I guess so far the superiors are very reasonable. Somebody is late for 5 BX and we all knock it down. Well, one for all and all for one.
