But if u are tall, then prepare urself.. i am 1.82m tall.. so when i sleep in the basha, my boots and socks will be freaking wet when it rains.. haiz.. the best sleeping position will be u and ur buddy.. then the rifles in between u guys.. head on sbo...the poncho area... then ur feet on field pack and helmet.. bring black clothes pegs by the way.. to peg the sides together.. it is very useful.. -
There is this instance where we were out for field camp trng during our BMT and one particular fellow platoon mate is Chuk Mia for his 'ability' to sleep anywhere anytime. So this particular nite, we were told to sleep 'early' after a day of 'labour'.
So, one of the instructors decided to do a stunt on this mate of ours lor. Was told that he actually managed to untie his boots, toke it off and hide it somewhere and 'steal' his whole M-16 even though that fella seemed holding it pretty tightly while snoring away.
The next half an hour, we were awaken by Thunder flashes and shouts of "Turnouts" were heard. So, imagine that fella.... falling in w/o his boots and his weapon.

Ermm.... as long as you don't get caught is ok for mopiko, the smell should be ok as SAF insect repellent has a strong smell too. Even combat ration has smell, so.... i think you get my point...
I share my mopiko with my sergeants, of course not during BMT.
About the ammo, we draw blanks.
You keep the blank attachment and washer inside your chest pocket but becareful that the washer is small and may get lost.
Yup, secure your stuff. I lost quite a number of stuff in which some are.........

I'm 1.8m, and i manage to remain dry although the first two nights it rained hard.I slept slightly curled. Ya... build a gd basha on a higher ground but not too open ground, reasons are water flow downwards and will collect there, secondly some vegetation can provide resistance from strong winds. Not too much vegetation, as there will be more insects. No sweet stuff, you won't want ants.

but i recommend u make sure it is the exact same one b4 u replace.
during my bmt, there was this guy who lost his blank attachment and bot one to replace secretly without telling his sgts. turns out the blank attachment was not exactly the same kind as wat bmtc uses. the sgt found out and he was given a real big f***ing and tekaning session for being dishonest. -
shit.. now i donno where is my blank attachment... was sent to medicial centre.. when i go back coyline.... my riffle had the the blank attachment remove and cover with tat watever item on top of it.. damn rush. no time to find my blank attachment...

managed to steal my m203 gunner's rifle...
strip it bare...
and in the morning...
you can see him fall in wif his launcher and rifle sling only...
of coz w/o his helmet... boots... and SBO... -
haha still remember my CSM i thought he was going to steal men's rifle BUT its the other way round he go & steal all the commanders rifle wow lao...next day morning all the cmdrs kena knock it down in front of the men

Since I have finish my field camp and SIT test, been falling sick now n den. This doesnt happen onto me alone, a couple of my frds also liek tat... All very fit one, after few camp end up sick.... So I strongly suggested to take good care of ur health.
