SAF VOCATIONS

haha forgive me for this thread la, but i haven't gone through NS (i'm 14) yet and i was just wondering how the posting system is like after completing BMT. many ppl in this forum are talking abt where they have been posted too and stuff, and i would like to know how did they get posted into a particular vocation. do they like give you an option form to select wad vocation you want? or do they just randomly give you? what about being posted to air force or navy? anyone care to enlighten me?

Don worry so much, there is nothing you can do now at this age to determine which vocation you go to .......
Ask again when you turn 18....

in any case,
1. depends on whether ur bmt is mono-intake or bmtc - mono-intake means u go to a unit for bmt, and u r likely to stay at the unit for ur entire ns. bmtc means u go bmtc for bmt, and get posted out after tt.
2. u do not get to state ur preference at bmtc on where u wanna go - if i dun rem wrongly.
3. VERI few ppl will get posted to air force or navy for their nsf - other than those RPs at the air base or naval base or medics or drivers at those bases. -

oh ok..so your posting depends on your performance arh..then wad abt those ppl who want join air force or navy as regulars, do they sign on before 18 or what?

some, very few, get posted to Police too, as Police Inspector officer training.
