Yeah, i booked out last night. Kinda shack, fell aslp very quickly. My shoulders are still aching from the "16"km route march which probably total 20-21km. Training lor, tactical route march under the hot sun, but last 8-10km rained, non-tact fast march! -

My first time doing a tactical route march. We were in SBO, camou on, do sercuring of danger areas, file formation, tactical halts means you can't sit down and rest or take off your SBO. For a long distance there wasn't any halt and the sun was frying everyone. Inside our SBO is 6 dummy mags. At poyan reservoir it started to rain, CAT 1(GSI was there), then we went to M203 and LAW ranges' training shed to take shelter. After a while, CAT 1 lifted, it became non-tact. It started at the abandon blks of lim chu kang, sungei gedong? Behind the amour centre. Usually we have our route marches at east coast park where you can see a few bikini "babes" and roller bladers. But the terrain is mainly flat, cooling with the trees and sea breeze, so there's a need to go to lim chu kang and pasir laba for tougher training. i did one tactical route march once for my GAs (Gunnery Assistants) once at Lorong Asrama. As they have not been thru SISPEC nor OCS, i gathered that a tactical route march would do them well in prep for the long distances we're goin to do at ATEC. Did our 16km tactical route march in the evening and ended in the early morning ard 1am or so... up and down, rough and undulating terrain... sure got them shack like crazy.

For my unit, there's this thing known as the fire piquet(not sure about the spelling) where you are on standby 24hrs like the COS duty hrs in case of fire break-outs.
