  ok here's more,
  
  CDF, Chief of Defence Force
  COA, Chief of Army
  CNV, Chief of Navy
  CEO, Chief Engineer Officer
  
  for those in other combat units, what do u call your chief? do u call them CAO, Chief Artillery Officer/Chief Armor Officer or CGO, Chief Guard Officer?

  think now the abbrev listed in some books i read in MPH are non classified.
  
  but there are classified abbrev..and i hope no one post them here.

  The ACGS..(Assistant Chief Of General Staff)
  
  ACGS(Plans)
  ACGS(Ops)
  ACGS(Logs)
  ACGS(Intelliegence)
  
  That's all.Each of the above has a deputy, called DYxxxx .

  Why do SAF vehicle numbers start with the letters "MID?
  
  "MID" stands for Ministry of the Interior & Defence formed in 1965. MID was split into the Ministry of Home Affairs in 1970 but the use of "MID" for SAF vehicles remained.

  i believe a CQMS's job is mainly to take care of the stores. in a QM perhaps.

  My friends told me that in some camps if you are under QM department (mostly storeman), lifes will be much easier as the highest ranking people in this department is at most a WO......
