omg..ADM....i hear liao also feel like breaking my own back..Originally posted by 12qwaszx:heng not all the time lah. like i say, depends on mission type. if required for us to do force breaching thru' mine cluster, then we'll use that.
we don't get assigned that PLC, we arrow ppl in the platoon to take loh. hehehe.. but must take turns to help lah.
i dunno milan how heavy, but PLC comes in a set of 2. total weight of those 2 are about minimum 40kgs.
in my opinion, block mission are the worst lah, if carry standard loadout, 6 ppl will have to carry a 20kg side charge, a 20kg+ ADM, 1 x landflame mine, maybe claymores or other AP / AT mines on top of our standard SBO loadout. So it's really the worst of it all.
ya block/retro mission are the worst for pioneer...for exercise we can cut down on the number of AP/AT and other demo things.. but for ops wise how to do it?? u can really have alot of cluster on a retro route..Originally posted by 12qwaszx:in my opinion, block mission are the worst lah, if carry standard loadout, 6 ppl will have to carry a 20kg side charge, a 20kg+ ADM, 1 x landflame mine, maybe claymores or other AP / AT mines on top of our standard SBO loadout. isnt it fun when they make us do casevac for multiple casualties?Originally posted by wocc:but as a cadet in infantry once had to carry two law tubes plus m16. cos my bubby pengz liao. love it when i prone. guaranteed concussion. love the back crawl too. have to shift the tubes to the front to crawl. but usually just one law tube.
on full pack topo, had to carry the 732 too. consider my weight is just 43kg its hell of a lot, full pack plus 732. then one of the guys say wanna fast march so that can complete earlier i nearly concuss. my whole group protest cos the weight is damn heavy. when its his turn to carry, notice he wasnt so enthu abt fast marching. sucker....
as an FO see the msg above. but usually had our own rover with an insulator of ice and the dessert from the combat ration thrown in. so that its ice cold under the hot sun.
army life is the best. u bond with the ppl u work with and establish a frenship that last.

I started out as Armour Infantry carrying M203.
As the numbers in the platoon starts to fall, I became a Spare Gunner handling the 0.5" Browning Heavy Machine Gun in the M113.
Then when more people downgrade , I became the
M113 Driver
Now I am back to my trusty M203 as a reservist
