How come police got bullet proof vest, but army dun hav?

actualli i noticed another thing:
how come no camo? and they certainly dun look very tactical. ok lah.. mabbe they r jus in charge of perimeter defense.
mabbe the police more guniang mah..

i think the only explanation is its SOP for the police but not the soldier lor... we all noe not all soldiers r issued vests mah. however tt police could haf been issued as part of the standard.

Back then while i was doing duties. I wasn't asked to put it(body armour) on. I was asked to carry it around in the bag it came with and put it on only when required!

maybe u know they're ordered to put on at SFT for reporter to take fotos, wayang a bit, go over to tekong liao, take off.
that pic u post a bit like those candid camera shot, take them when they not prepared, so the guy no time put his vest on to wayang. -

those tt were featured at SFT were prob the "elite" troops - adf, cdo, etc.
hence its the matter of std issue. for the latter, they haf std issue for this kind of ops, and it includes the vest.
for infantrymen, this, to them, is jus another defense op. and infantrymen dont get vests normally too. -
i dunno about the other units but bulletproof vests were issued to my unit and we were ordered to wear it...

Actually the picture looks doctored....most obvious is high-mid-low tones, hue etc that give the shadows (or lack of them, or in wrong direction) away.
