Parachute Insignia

Hi all,
Can anyone tell me where I can buy or obtain
every derivative of the SAF Parachute Qualification
insignia.
Are there any military tailors, military uniform stores
or military supply shops etc.? Or if someone wants
to swap I can supply British Wings.

Sadly, it is more than 20 years since I lived in Singapore
so I cannot get along to Beach Road that easily anymore.
Is there no where more permanent than a market that
I could go to?

I'm not sure, but perhaps some of the military surplus stores in Singapore might be prepared to do mail order.

anyways, you can buy some of those badges from this army surplus store i know of, at pennisular plaza 2nd floor.
I have a US Navy SEAL badge, and also some para badges, as well as one SAS and 2 US SOF badges, all from that store. -

Mess Dress made somewhere

Hang on, alex - are you talking about the standard stamped metal wings, the sew-on wings for the combat uniforms, or the puffy embroidered wings for the ceremonial uniforms?

I am putting together.
As I remember there are:
1. Metal wings,
2. White embroidery on khaki green background,
3. Black embroidery on khaki green background,
4. Silver & Gold on Blue/Black background,
5. Commando wings, look a bit like the british wing,
6. Metal wreath with parachute inside awarded to foreign personnel.
I think there may even be a special forces one around now
not too sure as I've been out of the game for a while.
So, what do you reckon canb I get them anywhere or
have I got to grovel to the Ministry of Defence

The parachutist's wing.
Senior jumper.
Master jumper.
Rigger.
Unit crest - this is not worn anywhere on the uniform.
Currently qualified jumpers (who complete at least one jump every six months) wear the parachutist's badges with a red backing, unless they're parachute jump instructors, in which case they wear a yellow backing.
Okay, the ones I haven't been able to find are the cloth badges for the No 4 (combat) unifrom, the embroidered badges for the No 1 (ceremonial) uniform, and the freefall badge (that's a huge one that I've only seen twice in my life).
As for items 2, 4 and 6 on your list, I haven't come across them before.
Just a question, alex - are you after photos, or do you want to get the badges themselves? I can try to get you photos of the freefall and SOF badges, although there may be restrictions placed on these.
Anyway, I've already migrated to Australia, but I'm spending the year in Singapore. After this, I'm returning to Melbourne. -

had scanned them, but now can't put them here.
to my understanding, red backing is for commandos only. current jumpers from other units, like ndu n guards parachutists r not allow to wear the red backing, even if they keep their currency. that's why ndu is having black backing.
as for foreign personnel, they wear the same wing as what ged hv posted. -
