it's the distance from my home to hendon camp that's worrying me if i kena commando.
cos book out already very shag.. then journey take 2 hrs 20 mins...

I keep forgetting how young you are, sk - Uncle Winston was the first Chief of Defence Forces.
I'm not sure if they've brought MP5s into the battalion (I'm now considered a classic, but not yet vintage, model ), but they might still be restricted to force line's armskote. -

thai wing was during thailand atec, bn jump.
we trained with thai army sf, but didn't jump with them.
us wing was from ussf.
we also trained with marine force-recon n anglico, but they were in a rush, so no time for jump. -
my atec taiwan.....got jump but taiwan wing cannot wear leh.
Not presented also.
Taiwan fun....
The battalion got Recon 1 in atec. But amour won best unit that year.... logisitic cock up...damn sian....

Hi, noticed that this thread has gone quite silent for a while. Am new here, but would like to add some comments.
Personally, many people have told me that they recieved letters from Commandos and they simply rejected them. But really, not that I am doubting them or anything, speaking from experience, when Commandos send you a letter, you HAVE to go. It's called a Vocational Assignment (VA). It's stated in fine prints that you will be charged if you don't turn up. The penalty is either a sentence or a fine, or both. I don't know what letter these people I have talked to claimed to have gotten, but I don't think that is the real letter if you can ignore it.
And also, once you are selected, you CANNOT say "no thank you, I am fine where I am". There is no such thing as rejection once they put you down on their list. But then again, there are always exceptions in SAF. Anyone would like to offer their insight? -

Well, as I said, I really don't know how they select, but they said that physical is not important, nor are your answers during the S1 interview. I mean there are so many people so eager to outperform others. Some even refused to come down from the pull-up bar. Scary. But it doesn't mean that they will be selected. The ONLY way i think you can siam is really fuck up the psycological test and IQ test they administer during VA.
