yah... all government organisations.... u see.... u must have the view that SAF/ mindef is juz one of the many government organisations that are around... information about you with the SAF is shared across the whole government board... Thus, that's the answer to the first qs.
nxt, affect doesnt mean u wun get the job, it means that they will take a second look at you when offering u the job to see whether u are up to it.... The level of scrutiny varies from organisation to organisation as well as the kinda of job u are applying... so see u heng or suay onli.
Finally, to present to you from the management point of view that how a past record would affect u... Just for eg, might not apply in ur case. Let us say a person cannot adapt to his work environment due to alot of stress, so from the management's point of view, they will consider that this person might not be able to handle stress as well as another candidate that doesn't have any records... To the management, they believe what subject matter experts would say, thus if the psychiatrist of their organisations says that "Yes, a psychiatric problem is just like a physical problem," den they would be more convicted to believe that statement.
Such are the facts of life....
