everything is done with mobile phones!

certainly they wont be able to remove the entire network. but in terms of reliability, a few stations down would decrease tt for GSM drastically, esp for impt communications during ops.Originally posted by the Bear:not too sure about the architecture of the networks, but seems like they are almost indestructable... overlapping areas of coverage means that in order to knock the whole network down, lots of base stations have to be knocked out.. and it's hard to knock out so many...
besides, for the military nuts out there, how to track the supposedly "invisible" B2 bomber? with the slight phase shift when B2 flies past and slightly disrupts the network... by triangulating, the exact location of the B2 can be found...

wat i am saying is tt handfones r convenient, but soldiers should be proficient when it comes to using signal sets, esp during ops. hence we shouldnt rely on handfones instead during exercises.

its not so bad if u find the wire broken when u go back to camp. its much worse if tt happens in the middle of an ex, and u haf to trace along the entire laid line to find the broken part!Originally posted by luke5v8:Hee hee... I usually don't bring my HP to field training, just in case there are some who keep wanting to borrow... very sickening lah
Hey, talking abt signal sets, anyone "REALLY" enjoyed laying comms line in field camps? I really hate unrolling & rolling themworst of all, return to store all tangled up, storeman checked and find the wires broke somewhere
