Well, it's not a matter of whether CMPB will keep it classified or not...Originally posted by BMEngineer:CPMB should keep the records classified rite? Don worry too much![]()
won't lah....Originally posted by chikopek:i want to know whether it is true that PES C and E people are more difficuit to find a job after serving ns? thanks for answer my queries!
yah.. its the outcome tt is important - ur conduct, wat u haf done, etc during ns, as written on the COS. they may ask y u downgraded, in the case if u haf a valid reason there shudnt be any worry.Originally posted by Kaczynski:Well, it's not a matter of whether CMPB will keep it classified or not...
They can keep records classified but your job application form will most probably ask for details like ORD Date and rank on ORD..
And if they ask for ur COS (Certificate of Service, issued on ORD), it would sometimes be difficult to mask your own PES Status since your vocation is written on it..
But then unless one really has serious problems (e.g. being Dibetic, having very low blood pressure etc etc which even so will be detected in the Pre-Employment Medical Checkup), the PES should not be a factor to affect employability.

Not that I heard of. What I heard is that if an officer downgrades and can't perform his duties fully as a result, he would 'hantakaki' at that rank.Originally posted by BMEngineer:Yeah i believe that Pres status is more of a concern when in Military career, eg only Pres A or B can be officer. However in civilian world you do not need to be Pres A or B to become a manager rite?
hmm...makes me wonder about officer who drop their pres. Will they be demoted too.....???
anyone regular who downgrades in service will have a harder time climbing... some like you say will "hentak kaki"Originally posted by ChrisYX:Not that I heard of. What I heard is that if an officer downgrades and can't perform his duties fully as a result, he would 'hantakaki' at that rank.
Any one care to enlightenon this matter?
when an officer is downgraded, he will just be rotated to sedentary positions. so in a way, depending on his former vocation, his advancement will be affected. but tt is not directly due to the downgrade but rather due to the loss in opportunities.Originally posted by ChrisYX:Not that I heard of. i think rather than asking for a pes, a company or organisation which provides medical benefits will arrange for the prospective employee to go for a checkup before employing the person.Originally posted by saabster:Civil services jobs do ask about your PES. At least in the past they did. Some companies still do. Reason is that some companies problem medical benefits to their emplyees. They certainly do not want to employ a sick bird who is going to bump up their bottom line. Downgrading because of psychiatric reasons are especially damaging. I mean if you were the boss would you want to hire a person who is prone to stress/depression or hallucinations
Yes PES does affect employment in a way
