hello, i will b enlisting to the army this june and i have some heart problems but last year i go cmpb do check up i let the mo see my medical record yet he give me a pes b
last week i read a newpaper knowing that a pes b enlistee died at tekong because of heart problems n that makes me worry
wat can i do? help! -

push for another medical check up.. -
Go see a specialist to determine the real cause and seriousness of your heart problem and push it if it deems significant enough.

u better go see a medical specialist...and then hav the report to cmpb to know the actual condition of your heart
if after this review, still Pes B, then so be it, but if they detect something, they will sure downgrade u further...
Heart problem is not something to be trifle with...it is life and death thing...and mi very sure u not trying to keng at all
So mi wish u luck tat they get a true picture of your medical condition and give u the pes grading accordingly

i will be turning 20 this year n sometime i will have heart attack and i had to take medicine everyday. i had several times being hospitalised because of heart attack
my specialist doctor had told me that my condition cannot do severe exercise n i might lost my life if i do severe exercise and he had wrote me a letter to cmpb but when i go for medical check up, i let the mo look at my medical record but he just look a few seconds only and said: i will give you pes B and then i told him that my specialist doc says that i can't do heavy exercise n he only said 'tell your mo in tekong'
what if tekong mo also like this? i dun wan to die in tekong! i really had proofs! -

n take our advise..push for another check up...tell them your condition again..tell them u can die from doing strenous exercise..n its not a funny thing...n i bet the MO is lazy..alot of them are like that..u nid to smack their head to wake them up.. -
Go see ur specailist and no it is not your familiy GP. I think the place is call the National Heart Centre (correct?).
I kena also once, went for my BMT recourse FFI, the Medic took my Blood pressure 3 times and gave me a weird look and said "Eh...your blood pressure damn high leh". I was like
Later the MO gave that "Bo chup" attitude and cleared my FFI without even mentioning about my blood pressure. Before I had a chance to talk to him, he ask me to leave the room. wtf?!!! I have no qualms about BMT but I was like about my high blood pressure as I don't have it previously.
So later when I book out and went to my GP and ask. He was shocked, he put me on medication immediatly and wrote a stern letter warning the camp MO and specifically ask him to be refer me to the Medical board. I was down graded subsequently.
So if you have a real condition make a big fuss out of it. What if ppl think you chow keng, it is your life we are talking here. -

i m worry that tekong mo also like that............................. i might lost my life because those mo insist i am suitable for full military........................ -

If you do have recurrent chest pain, it is important to investigate your condition. Generally your specialist will arrange some test to look at the structure of the heart and the flow of the blood vessels. This will generally give a reason as to why you are having these reccurent problems at such a young age. If your condition is not that severe then your specialist might do a threadmill stress ECG.. They kinda monitor your heart when you are running.
Coming back to your PES status. Did you bring any osrt of documentation to CMPB?? If you did not well you asked for it. You have had lots of time to arrange for them.. If you did and it shows you have esrious heart problems, I cannot imagine CMPB giving you a PES B. Sometimes they give a temp PES D until you are sorted out. No need to talk to your MP. Just prepare your documents, and on the first day inform your OC to allow you to report sick and show the MO your stuff. They will surely out of course you and put you up for a medical board
