Roughly how many times do we need to go range before the actual test. And the actual test is around when? (How long into BMT i mean. 1 month? 2 months?)

for me it was after my field camp. around the 7th week. you can only go for the range after you passed the technical handling test. and everyone will pass the test no matter what...

Yeah but like 1 week, how many days you go range? 3 days? 4 days? And do you usally spend the whole day there?

If i am not wrg it is 4-5 days.... IMT first then follow by range.... damn wayang one.... my IMT always fail one.... but real range I can shoot.... yes its usually about 3-5 days. first 1 to 2 days imt, followed by days of rehearsals, then night and day actual shoots.
as for marksman, there is a certain standard to meet to achieve the award - i.e. x number of targets hit out of the total number of targets. -

Mine was after the field camp and SIT test.
Mine was 1 week choke full of IMT lessons and trial shoots, followed by 1 day of familiarisation and zeroing shoot, 1 day of trial shoot, followed by the actual shoot itself the next day.
In fact, I was quite happy the two weeks (because after field camp, the instructors hardly want to tekan you...) We ended up watching TV (ported over from the recruit's mess!) after ceasefire, and were waiting for the night shoot. -

No. It was the OC's idea to port the TV to the range... After all, after ceasefire, there is nothing to do, except to stone there. The 2IC brought his precious James Bond collection, and we ate it all up...
