i just got this hearing problem.
i am listening to some music at rather low volume. so soft i can ppl speak outside my room
anyway i heard this 'pounding' sound on my left ear just now. it felt like my ear was some drum and someone was banging on it. this thing comes occassionally and wasnt picked up in med check up.
another thing abt ears is that, frequently involving left ear. i occassionally hear this high-pitched ringing sound that goes something like this " yinnnnnng" it goes in cycles and disappears after a while. -
better see a doctor

Job as a Medic depending on what unit and which camp u r in.
For me, SADA medic which attached to medical centre of CCO so got the privilege to stay out....unit got exercise then have to cover the exercise. Sometimes IPPT also.......Job in medical centre also seperate in different area like MOPA, Admin, Dispensary etc....I was in charge of the MB.
P.S: Some unit even have BCS medic which is deployed when on exercise -

Depending on the medical centre policy my times is no.4 or no. 3 but now seem to be the tunic

After MOCC they get either LTA/CPT rank and got posted into unit to work as doctor
As for allowance they get a 4 digit allowance -
From what i understand/see/hear, MOs can either be posted to:
i) Medical Centres
ii) Staff Appointments (in HQMC)
iii) Instructors
Apparently *most* MOs wish to get the staff appointments, for obvious reasons.
The medical centre MOs have the most xiong job of the lot, and are probably the most underappreciated too, as i'm sure our resident MOs here can testify.
But having said that, i've heard of MOs who volunteered for commando conversion so i guess it's really up to the individual.
Heh, and apparantly MOs, as CPTs, have the privilege of having a military wedding, especially since they're of the right age too. I've heard of a few who have done so. -
Hi Saabster.
I have a very pronounced bilateral Osgood Schlatter's disease since 13, and developed chondro malacia patella in the later part of my life. Fact is, I cannot kneel down at all, and my knee cap hurts on and off. Seems to be due to maltracking of the knee cap or something like that. My knee basically crackle when I walk, no joke. I would like to know if i should be downgraded, and whether i can be downgraded. I have ORDed few years ago, so I'm not sure if i should downgrade. Also, will a pes C2 be equally "liable" for reservice? Or should i say, is it usual for a C2 to get reservice? Thanks. -

And it's lesser amount then their housemanship term in the hospital (which is much more shiong lah agreed)

If you have CMP that is radiologically evident, you can be downgraded. Please prepare your specialist letter and Xrays ready before approaching your MO.
PES is no longer C1 or C2 as in the past, there is the land deployment status thus nowadays you will notice PES written as C*L*
you will be liable for reservist even if you are PES C. Your duties might be changed though.

What's the SAF stance on painful flat feet. Is it downgradable? -
CMP are all given Pes B now but excuse whenever needed from my 2 yrs handling MB cases I seen lot of upgrade cases for CMP maybe excuse 1 station for IPPT.Originally posted by saabster:Hi
