  hi all,
  
  i went for my pre enlistment medical check up somewhere in jan and was graded PES A. but recently i recieved a letter(Further reporting order) from MCC-CMPB to ask me to go for a medical review.. i wander what is it all about?? since i'm not PES D and y they still need to review my status??
  
  it writes there VENUE: RM 6
  VISIT TYPE: collect 2DE or isit (20E)?
  
  anyone knows what is it for??

  I have ankle instability in my right ankle, and have an bostrom gould operation to repair my ligament during my NSF life.
  
  However, as i was about to ord after my operation, the MO in my camp asked me to downgrade after i ord.
  
  Now, i had received my reservice posting, a combat unit.
  
  What should i do?
  
  Must i wait for the letter for the next ICT or IPPT? Or can i look for the MO now?
  Would there be another FFI before the next ICT or IPPT?
  
  How can i book an appointment with the MO at my reservist unit?

  After you the op u can see the MO through your reservist unit.

  After the op you can ask your unit to see the MO then the MO can requested for your medical report then if necessary then you be boarded for medical degraded.

  Wondering if ORD FFI need to do chest Xray? I just did one with a private doctor and it's valid for 6 months.So if ORD FFI need chest Xray,I'll just show the recent one to the MO coz I don't wanna do another and become a mutant!

  if i PES E perm during my NSF and then after ORD then get my MBBS will i still be 'called-up' by the SAF???

  Are you studying overseas?Hmm..I don't think so..Unless they want to pay you to be a Staff Officer.

  ehhhhh...sorry to disappoint you Pes C and below MO have a rank of LTA whereas combat fit MO have a CPT rank.......since MO are rare species i doubt u can siam reservist maybe even to reservist MOCC.

  Agree. I got downgraded to Pes E several years after ROD...did my 7 years of high key...even went to Thailand. I don't mind though...medical centre job..no big deal..

  Alll MOs combat or non combat, irregardless of PES are given the rank of CPT.

  Saabster who told you that or there is a change in the policy.....i encounter couple of non-combat MO (Pes C) during my times both only LTA

  Not true....non-combat fit ones are generally LTA, except for the really lao jiao MOs in the days before the selective disruption scheme.

  Uh, not much difference whether MOs are CPT or LTA right? We used to address them all as 'Doctor' anyway.

  See an ENT surgeon to find out the cause first. Your MO can refer you but it is quicker to see a private specialist, if you can afford the money.

  3 years ago they made a policy change. All MO cadets who go thru MOCC will be promoted to the rank of CPT regardless. But it is true that downgraded MOs used to be LTAs

  MOs used to have a short stint in OCS (Tri-service term), but not anymore according to an MO friend of mine. So MOs have the rare distinction as the only non-SAFTI trained officers.
