  hi MO,
  
  I was hospitalised when i was 5 years old becoz of fits due to my high fever. However when i went for my medical checkup at cmpb, i did not declare that i had fits before as tt was such a long time ago and i haf loss all records about my fits. I was thus given PES A. However, since enlisting into national service, i suffered frequent fevers which reach up to 40 degrees; therefore, i am worried that i might suffer another fit.
  
  I would like to know if my condition warrants a non-combat PES and that is it possible to request to the hospital for my medical records then?

  i have a condition known as alpha-thalassemia minor which causes me to feel weak and dizzy and sometimes faint all of a sudden due to low red blood cell count. i am now awaiting posting after passing out from bmt.
  
  i am already a PES B even though i have not went to a doctor for testing (going to check later). i would like to know if this condition would have any impact on my PES status(hope not)...thanks for your clarification

  Then I don't think it's good enough for downgrading. You see some people have epilepsy when young as you grow order it may not comeback just like asthma.

  Currently u better go for the latest test b4 u can be downgraded

  National heart centre diagnosed me having mild mitral-valve prolapse,i didnt ask the specialist to write me a memo, would like to know can this be downgraded. if my unit MO doesn't recommend me for downgrade, what can i do?

  I have mitral-valve prolapse and I was excuse all physical tests like IPPT. That was quite awhile from now and I'm going for a specialist appointment soon for further check up again . I feel chest pain,panic attacks,low exercise tolarence and shortness of breath,which really affects my training..
  
  Also,I meet with a bike accident 1 year ago and suffer from knee injuries. the pain is on/off,and have difficulities during running..
  
  I was posted to a unit which requires a lot of intensive physical training..It is fun there,but I afarid my condition may not be able to take it.
  
  Should I go for a downgrade? If yes,what PES status will i be given?

  I have childhood asthma...will they pass my medical?
  now all clear...never had an attack since...primary 2?

  Depends on severity...no definite downgrade. I am beta thal minor myself.

  I went to my medical in March and was given the status B. However... i still have some problems which is bothering me because i am enlisting this June...
  
  1. I have a very sensitive nose, sensitive to dusts and i will sneeze the whole day, feel weak. I quite scared that tekong will be dusty? and it'll certainly affect me through out and i do not want to disturb people as they might feel bothered around me with my sneezing during night time.
  
  2. I have this bad habit since i was young...it has been affecting my time in primary and secondary schools... my stomach is always pain because i guess there is something wrong with my digestion all these (dont reeally know whats the problem) I see some doctors and they say i have alot of stomach gas/air.
  
  3. I wonder this has got to because of my unfit phsyical or not cause i haven been exercising, last few weeks after i run about 5 to 10 minutes... i feel quite dizzy after stopping... i didnt sit down immediately or what.
  
  4. I have breathing difficulties and asthma in the past. will it affect me during NS ? And almost now and then i have to take a deep breathe..
  
  I need some advice over here. thanks in advanced.

  i had a venomous insect bite while outfield and the damn thing swelled to 4 50cent coins. was sent to medical centre, and waited 3 hours to see the mo. when i did, he asked the usual qns, tried squeezing the insect bite, before saying i will have to go A&E.
  
  then i had to wait another 2 hours to get my status and medicine, go back to company, go back home before heading to the hospital. and the mo made the bite hurt even more with his squeezing lol.
