  talking abt service injury report, can i just describe it to the medical board without filing a report through my S1? because my injury is very complicated...i injured my shoulder while doing SOC.....at first, my medical officer initially thought it was a sprain...so he just gave me 2 wks ex upper limb, followed by 2 mths ex upper limb...when my injury did not recover, he sent me to a specialist gave me another 2 mths ex upper limb. When I still did not recover, he ordered an MRI and discovered a tear...by then, there was no way i could find the relevant witnesses and officers for the service injury report as my previous batch of officers had already ord-ed....how?

  think not possible, as MO not obligated (also according to another fren here) , the report will be passed to specialist ...anyway u dun need the report wat, not usual practice ..

  you should have filed a report at the time of your injury.
  
  you may try to do so now, and get people who were then around to help as your witnesses, and see if it can go through.

  Hi,
  
  I am a suspected thalassemia minor, what I have gathered from the forum is a downgrade to C2 (currently B) will depend on the result of a detail blood test, but pretty sure I have it since it runs in the family.
  
  I have borderline Haemoglobin(Hb) count of 13.
  But my MCV and MCH are both below the normal range, 64 and 21 respectively.
  
  Waiting for my Hb photopheresis results for confirmation as a thalassemia minor.
  
  Anyone knows my chances of downgrading to C2? What do the MO look, at the Hb count alone, or MCV and MCH and Hb photopheresis also?

  hi...i hav been suffering from an ache at the lower part of mi back for a few daes, n it has been causing mi to wake up from slp at nite...should i go to a mo to have a check? will there be ani status given to me? thanks...

  Can be anything as banal as acute back strain to a slipped disc. Let your MO or a doctor have a look and do some tests.

  Depends on what sort of throid disorder. For someone your age (I presume you are a NSF serviceman), it could be a goitrous nodule (benign overgrowth of the gland) or hyperthyroidism (over functioning of the thyroid gland). Less commonly, young people can develop benign and malignant tumours of the thyroid.
  
  Who told you there's a thyroid disorder? Find out more from your doctor.

  Tremors is one of the many signs of hyperthyroidism...that's why the blood test to check the hormone level. But there are many causes of tremors, ranging from alcohol, brain disorders, hereditary and some causes are completely unknown but are benign.

  hey i got a history of sinus and the doc once said my nose was crooked inside.This results in me feeling breathlessness after some exercises,and having to always breathe thru my mouth.Also i have eczema sometimes.Just got my posting and was wondering if i can get myself downgraded of any sort.

  I am having mild depression and anxiety problems.. already gave CMPB the specialist letter and they have graded me C1L3. Is it ok that i didnt tell the SAF Psychiatrist/CMPB that i have to take the drugs every night? I found out my problem was coming back when i skipped the drugs for a few nights(I forgot to take it). Will it affect me if i need to take medicines regularly during BMT?
  
  and one more question. can i request to see the SAF Psychiatrist instead of specialist psychistrist outside?

  I have been diagnosed with urticaria and Dermatographism since young.my skin is very sensitive to things like dust dirt and grass. Even extreme heat or coldness can result in rashes that lasts for a few hrs. My condition has been certified by my specialist. Is it possible for me to get a downgrade? Thanks in advance.

  I got 6 months temp downgrade to PES C9L3 for urticaria also.Somehow during my last 6 months of service,haha!
  
  Go to the skin centre ask for downgrade letter!

  i have very serious nasal and throat allergy to the extend that I have to spray my nose everyday .
  
  Plus I alway get sick 2 to 3 times a month .
  
  Plus everytime I take my blood pressure , i get very nervous and BP shot to 140 and above . As for blood sugar no problems .
  
  When nurse come my school for routine health screening .
  Then I took the 24 hour blood pressure monitering and found out that my average blood pressure is abt 130 sumthing which is normal . ( lower than 140 )
  
  I scare during my pre enlistment health checkup , i get into trouble with my BP and ECG especially .
  
  As for eyesight over 500 degree . 550 for the other eye . ( moderate )
  
  No colour difficiency or colour blindness .
  
  Gum disease - have to see dentist half a month .
  
  ECG - as I am always very nervous when I do the ECG , the graph also appears abnormal , after the 24 hours BP monitering , no problems were found on my heart .
  
  So wad do I bring during my health checkup .
  will they acess my mental state of health and intelligence ?

  If your report is from Skin centre, chances are it will be accepted without question. If it is from your private specialist, you may be sent for second opinion at Skin Centre, so you will have to wait a longer time to resolve your PES status

  Mental state? If you have a serious mental illness, you should bring a letter from your psychiatrist. Fear of army training is not considered mental illness
  
  Intelligence? Unless you are seriously retarded, it has no bearing on your PES status.
