Well
I was seen by a specialist due to excess thirsty and frequent toilet all the
time , specialist cant figure out why after blood and urine test.
in the end sent me for some water deprivation test , have to be
bed ridden in hosptial for 3 nights!!!
Can MO tell me wats that -
Presumably because there is nothing wrong with urine/blood sugar (to exclude diabetes mellitus) and urine osmolality (to check for diabetes insipidus). Since your symptoms persist although nothing wrong is found, they are trying to see if perhaps you have a mild form of diabetes insipidus, due to the lack of anti-diuretic hormone (ADH).Originally posted by noahnoah:Well

ADH is produced during water deprivation and its effect is to inhibit urine formation, to conserve water. One cause of frequent urination is due to the lack of ADH. The water deprivation test is to see if your ADH level rise as it should following water deprivation. If you have a mild form of diabetes insipidus, there is a defect in ADH production and this rise will be absent during water deprivation. -

Exactly...rather unlikely. There are two forms of diabetes insipidus...nephrogenic and neurogenic, but both are uncommon. Downgrade or not depends on what you have.,..Originally posted by noahnoah:will such cases be downgraded? from what i know .. insipidus is very rare -

If your condition is directly caused by or exacerbated by military duties, its claimable. But if you're a reservist and its an unrelated problem, then you're on your own.

according to my doc, he said i had 'blue-blacks' on my ankle bone and the condition might be permanent or will onli improve veri little (20-30%) over time..
any chances that my condition be considered for a downgrade? -
may i know if i'm given permanent PES C9L9 for severe eczema, will i be call for review and get upgraded after enlistment? What kind of bmt will i expect and wat vocation ?

because the pes status the MO underline the definitively instead of temporary... then there nvr write for how many months also if temporary sure got write for how many months...

But mine is a computer generated form and it just states graded as PES E1 L9.

Asking for a friend.
"I went for my medical a year ago and everything is fine except my childhood arm fracture The MO asked me to squeeze his hand and told me i have power but he referred to the "secret book" and later gave me C1L2 I have since sailed for 6 months onboard an oil-tanker and will be going for enlistment soon

He is not known as broken arm for nothing, appears that he had crooked arm due to taking a fall in childhood. -
there chance for him to go to a service/technical navy vocation, if he voice out his interest and sailing experience during PC interview in BMT.
can try lah... but no guarantee.
if he had marine eng. cert, can also highlight to PC, since most males who had diploma in nursing are posted to medic vocation. of cos thru PC interview. -

I suffer from frequent cases of oricular abcess behind the right and left ear lobes. Everytime it happens the swelling will become as big as a marble and each time i have to go for incision and drainage which is very painful.
I've had it for 5 times already and everytime it occurs i'm given 1 week of Mc for recovery and dressing.
I feel its going to be a problem when i finish my basic medic course and get posted out as a combat medic. Any suggestions on what i can do? -
work in medical centre... got to see your boss (MO) everyday. i tink its obvious right.
