go to polyclinic, get x-ray of the socket joint at the least, then get the doctor to certify n write a memo for loose socket, prone to dislocation.
if cerfitied, u can/may get excuse upper limb activities perm, excuse ippt's chin up perm.
not sure abt getting any pes lower than b, as i don't recall reading this type of case.
Dear MO
I took isotretinoin early this year, and was stopped by my derm cuz of 2 reasons, namely you cannot enlist while you're taking this drug, and my personality totally changed to becoming easily irritated and moody. I also had suicidal thoughts while on isotretinoin.
i stopped 6 weeks before my enlistment, feeling moody occasionally during these 6 weeks. I was looking forward to enlistment. after 4 days in bmt, i had a breakdown where i couldn't control my tears and the suicidal thoughts continued. i had already declared that i had these symptoms to my pc on day 1. i went to see the MO on tekong and he declared me unstable and sent me home immediately.
i went to saf mmi at alexandra and the mo there gave me a week off and review 1 week later.
i am currently pes a as during my checkup in apr last year i didn't not have any major problems.
what will happen to me?
thanks.
Hi, i will be enlisting arnd june-september and my pes is c2l2. my medical problem is that i have a complete ACL tear and severe tear on one of the meniscus. i can't aford the operation yet, will SAF subsidise for me? if yes...do u knw how much? coz i want to save up for it.

report sick see a MO and ask the MO referred you to a specialist then can do op....
my pes status is currently c1l2 as i have congential hypothyroidism. i recently went for a medical review where i showed the MO a letter from my specialist which excuses me from streneous and stressful activities.
the MO told me to come back after i've taken a few blood tests and seen my specialist for another review cuz he wants to make sure i'm categorised in the correct pes.. so what are my chances of downgrading to a lower pes status?

u ownself go calculate the % of chances... k...
u WILL have to take and wait for the few blood tests results 1st n see the specialist later to get another memo/report for the results. so just wait, what's more can i offer to do, and u, for ur time.

yes, u r right, mindef will subsidies the ops cost in FULL... all u have to do is just show 11b...
1) show 11b at polyclinic, get referral to hosptial, see specialist, get ops date...
or
2) go camp mo, get referral to hosptial, see specialist, get ops date...

what will happen to u in terms of military medical context... will be made known to u at the review... by the doctors there... not us...
but u will be review periodically, perhaps per quarter, by the camp mo and appts to see the saf psychiatrist. pes will be remain unchange at the moment until a clinical final diagnosis is made.
hi eac, thanks for the reply.
sorry, but when is the expected clinical final diagnosis made?
won't there be a temporary downgrade or excuse firearms or what not?
will i be viewed as a 'keng' case? cause this is genuine.
so there's no need to go back to the MO for them to refer me to some specialist at some govt hospital? can go and see my own specialist to get the report done??

if u want to go govt hospital since its full subsidised, either get referral from mo or from the polyclinic... show ur 11b...
yes, u can still continue to see ur own specialist and get the report.
for the blood tests, the blood can be drawn at the camp medical centre n sent to external outsourced blood investigation lab, if the mo wants specific blood test.

diagnosis is made by the psychiatrist of cos... n his memo is to be given to camp mo for follow up... review n might be medical board when he read the psychiatrist memo.
during my time, there r no temporary downgrad at the moment, except for the common attend b light duties status.. all these r deem if needed by the camp mo discretion.

Hi eac,
I fell off the stairs a month ago and had a fracture to my ulna bone. doctor at TTSH gave me in total 7 weeks MC.
went back to camp to endorse my mc, and MO asked what happened. he then checked his system which somehow linked to some site where he saw my diagnosis. the system wrote that it was a hairline fracture.
the doctor at TTSH (on my 2nd follow up) said that the bone was healing well, although i was still feeling some pain in the injured region. Just wondering, would i be considered for downgrade, even if it's temporary?
Also, will there be any possible repercussions of the injury in the future?

Well, I guessed that the Govt should already linked up all Govt Hospitals with Mindef EMR (Electronic Medical Records)?
Anyway, hairline fractures (#, short form code in medical context) is generally heal n recover without much complication.
The significance of the Temp downgrade is mostly 3 to 6 months, on the fracture site. how deep n long is the hairline...etc. This is deemed by the x-ray or ttsh records, and up to the MO discretion. If not serious enough, then just excuse this or that status for a few weeks only.

at the very least get a memo or letter to inform the manpower br to consider re-schedule.

go find ur chief clerk and manpower branch's S1 manpower officer!
would any medical conditions noted during NS affect my future prospects? Such as being a lawyer? Or a technician?
