VC of an armoured veh wears a flak jacket when he does not need to run around.Originally posted by ditzy:Eh, depends loh. I've worn one of those things, but they call it a flak jacket and its damn heavy, can't run around in one of those.
But for my vocation as a VC of an armoured vehicle, it is SOP during operations. I don't know why also, but its kind of ironic when I go for range and one of my targets involved a super cute and small tactical figure which alias is a VC target.![]()

those who need to run around, cannot do so properly when they wear a jacket.
such irony...
I lan lan have to run around if my tank suffers an 'M' kill, but I don't think I want to be doing it with a flak jacket.Originally posted by wuming78:VC of an armoured veh wears a flak jacket when he does not need to run around.

Okie, on the emboss of the metal plate inserted into the flak jacket, it clearly states that it is not to be used as a bulletproof vest but more for protection against ballistic projectiles such as shrapnel. Kinda ironic again when its my face the enemy is going to be aiming at.Originally posted by guardsmen:ic....ya........
haha...oh ya,7.62mm...
but it can withstand the bullet of 7.62mm?
Provided you're standing 2500 metres away and praying the round falls short.Originally posted by the Bear:7.76?

no ballistic plates for our troopers?? uh oh..
Even tanks at its bare level has to take quite a beating from 7.62s. So, it definitely has to be damn thick.Originally posted by martin_lim85:i heard that bulletproof vest have at least up to level 5 protection which could withstand the 7.62 round but is quite heavey though.![]()
