Questions on PTP training

Hi guys, i'm about to enlist for PTP in 2 wks time. Can anyone tell me more about life in PTP? For eg the type of training activities/ daily routine. Thanks![/b]

ptp focuses on physical training and easing recruits into military life. hence there are drills, and other lessons too.
physical training includes gyms, runs, exercises, swims, etc.
overall quite senang i would say. -
Its tough but its a very good time to build your body up. Make full use of it.

For me, PTP was one of the most slackest time I ever had in my 5-6 months so far in the army. Your schedule will go something like this:
0530 Reville
0545 The 5 BX (Power PT if the Duty officer is feeling siao on...)
0600 Breakfast
0630 Area Cleaning
0700 Stand-by area if your duty sergeant feels like it
0730 First lesson (ET run/circuit/gym/)
1020 Nothing essentially (labelled as "OC Disposal" or "Fatigue Duty, a.k.a. Sai Kang)
1200 Lunch
1300 See 1020
1500 ET run/circuit/gym/drills
1800 Dinner
1930 Night training (usually extra training your sergeants have in store for you)
2045/2100/2130/2200 C.R.O (Last Parade) Do whatever you want in your bunk
2230 Lights out
My record C.R.O was at 1900, but they used it to conduct a fire drill... Record latest was 2330 (but that is during BMT phase)
Having said that, your instructors usually will take advantage of the free period to conduct stand-bys upon stand-bys upon stand-bys. So, whether you get to rest depends on them... -

Hmm, you are the June 9-10 enlistment, you are lucky as your first 2 weeks will be blessed by presence of about 40-50 girls.
Which school are you posted to?
Whatever school you are at, you wun have a chance to be under one of the slackest sergeant around (ME), because my company is taking Standard Recourse. :-( -

Come_5, there will be girls around because they are those who sign on for Service Vocations. So there will be there for 2 weeks for their BMT.
At the same time, there might be girl COMBAT intake also but these dun usually exceed 10 girls. They will join a male company and participate in the 10-week BMT.
Those enlisting June and December will get to see girls around. -

Hmmm....PTP is slack, well compared to Enhanced batch, far better.
Life in Army changed....tremendously over less than a year! Now u get Gortex jackets (std issue for the Jan batch) and no more tekkans can be conducted by the PCs already...otherwise they kenna 7x Extra instead.

I'm enlisting at 10am on Jun 8 sch 2, anybody same time? Will there be any swimming lesson in ptp? swimming trunk is provided but bring own googles, am i rite?

BMT:physical and mental stress
Physical stress is nothing compared to mental stress.
I went for PTP phase and it prepared me for BMT coz it helped me get used to camp life.
A no of those direct BMT intake people came in and could'nt cope as well as the PTP guys.
I remembered during 1 tekan session during the 1st few days of BMT,we PTP guys did push ups swee swee 1,full range of motion with my chest touching the floor while the new BMT guys did half fu-ck pushups.Our platoon sergeant used the PTP guys as example to screw the BMT guys:"hey,you all cheebye,wanna fu-ck the floor,dun fu-ck halfway,fu-ck all the way like what they doing(refering to the PTP guys)"

Is it possible to shoot from nothing to a gold after PTP. I aim to get a gold lehz....but don know if can do it or not???

Is it IPPT or Napfa standard for the final test after four weeks of PTP? Every item got 'C' for IPPT is gold rite?

and every item mus be at least C, + total number of points mus be above a stipulated minimum + 2.4 timing below 9.45 to be gold.
