Reading through all these posts reminds me of my NS days...in the last millenium...

Also reminds me of this malay sergeant from another platoon who ate first while his recruits all in long queue,then he sort of looked at us and sniggered.(together with his mat instructor cronies)(You get the idea that he was saying something like "haha,you all chao recruits queue up la")On the other hand,my BMT sarge waited for all of us to grab our food and sit down before he went to collect his food.
Apparently this ah mat let his rank got to this head.Should let him go to combat unit and he will realise sgt is nothing there...
This mat sergeant also refused to let somebody take a breather/stop and drink water during route march.If anyone happened to that trainee coz of that,I am sure that ah mat would had been charged very jialat for ill treatment.
By the way,how come so many ah mat instructors at BMTC?
