  we are proud to serve our beloved nations with pride (whether combat, technical, service, police or scdf) while those gals should feel disgrace by didn't serve anything to the country
  
  since we have served our countries, we should be on higher status than gals......

  And some of them(sad to say including some people whom i call friends), due to their fathers telling them that NS is not "as tough as it was as before", actually demean us guys of recent generations who have served before saying that "aiyah, now serving NS so easy, where go like my father that time ah, so siong...you guys must really be enjoying urselves inside...what makes you people deserve to command the higher starting wage?"
  
  I wonder if they would say the same if they had to try serving themselves...

  nice topic..
  before i was enlisted, i also cannot visualise whats going on in the army... and sad to say.. i can't be bothered by the whole thing....
  after enlisting...its a whole new story... can understand whats going on.. why must we be there ...

  Actually i agree the first part,Siong also lar,but more welfare given...but human is greed...ask for more....
