These sandals are an initiative to give all soldiers welfare, in the sense that after field activities, they are allowed to wear this 'standardised' sandals in camp, for the purpose of airing one's feet.Originally posted by wuming78:i heard. so its like standardised slippers.
Well...looking at the cases of foot rot on the rise during training periods.....i think it's a good move, though the monetary problem...Originally posted by gerleen:a waste of tax payer's money ...
there is no need to issue standardised sandals if that is the motivation. in the past, after long outfield trg, we were allowed to wear our slippers around. the only difference now is that people wont wear all kinds of slippers. so in fact its jus another imposed form of disciplineOriginally posted by deathscythe99:These sandals are an initiative to give all soldiers welfare, in the sense that after field activities, they are allowed to wear this 'standardised' sandals in camp, for the purpose of airing one's feet.
Partially to reduce foot rot and any feet related diseases
Good initiative nonetheless...
Heard prob with the provision of the huge amt though, so combat units getting them first![]()
Wat brand wan ... Teva ?Originally posted by Ponders:The sandals and garrison wear... there will be a "official" No. 6G wear for army after this.
Sandals, as mentioned, combat units get first, then "combat" personnel in non-ops unit (SISPEC, BMT, etc) depending on whehter the CO/RSM wants them.
It will be issued under coupon basis then once those who supposed to get it gets them, then they will be available in emart.
Affirmative.Originally posted by Ponders:Not TEVA.. but "teva"-like. hahaah.
it's made by STLog's contractor, "as always".
it will be $13 something credit once it's ready for SAF-wide.
For now, only combat units will get it first.
Then "combat" personnel... followed by others.
Recruits will NOT get as standard items yet.
