no idea.. but in performing our national duties, think we shouldnt overtly emphasise on compensations.Originally posted by mwk:I'm an NSman and have completed my advanced logistics offr course and am to be posted to a Divisional Direct support unit next year as Battalion S4 and OC HQ Coy after doing my ICT with them as 'acting' S4/ OC HQ and passing my IPPT. The other Bn PSOs mentioned something about me now being eligible for some KAH or command allowance from MINDEF. The regulars mentioned something like 'a third of the regular rank pay'.
Does anyone know what this is all about? My fellow PSOs have told me that this is BS as it's peanuts for doing the extra work from the weight that the appointment brings. In any case, the net make up pay from MINDEF will in no way be more than the civillian pay we draw. Any comments?
Thanks in advance
You have to hold the actual appointment for at least 1 ICT first. After confirm the appointment, you will be able to get your KAH allowance for the following years. It is pay once per annum apart for your normal ICT pay claim. How much it is depends on the rank and appointment you hold for example a CSM should get about $600 a year etc...Originally posted by mwk:I'm an NSman and have completed my advanced logistics offr course and am to be posted to a Divisional Direct support unit next year as Battalion S4 and OC HQ Coy after doing my ICT with them as 'acting' S4/ OC HQ and passing my IPPT. Thanks! It seems that information on ICTs and related administrations are not quite well publicised, or people do not know that the information exist.
How should people find out more about these?
So, what are the appointments that are entitled to this? CSM, RSM, RQMS?Originally posted by erijazz:You have to hold the actual appointment for at least 1 ICT first.
