For the first time, visitors to Army Open House will be to get an overview to the awesome firepower that is available to our soldiers. This ranges from small firearms to large calibre guns. A must-see for all!
Battle Track - THE RIDE
BANG! BOOM! At Army Open House 2004, the public will, for the very first time, get to experience an awesome firepower display by our soldiers. Ranging from small arms to the 75mm gun of a tank, this live firing display will explode your senses.
An interactive Safari ride, "Battle Track - THE RIDE" will take you through 5 zones of battle experience, filled with real-time action of the army in various operational conditions. Get the opportunity to witness Army operations in
Sit back comfortably as you get to smell, see and feel the heat of the enraging Battle.
"Battle Track - THE RIDE" guarantees you excitement and entertainment with lots of pyrotechnics and live-firing displays. It is definitely an experience you should not miss!

Military Equipment Display
The Equipment Display and Show at the SAFTI MI Parade Square is by tradition the mainstays of the Army Open House and this year is no exception. The Army will put its latest equipment on display for all to view. For Army Open House 2004, there are several new additions, like the Primus, SingaporeÂ’s very own self-propelled gun howitzer. There will also be a special peace support structure built by the Combat Engineers themselves, paint bullet arena by the Commandos and computer terminals at the Armour booth to allow the public to simulate our own Armour troopers in action!

Main Street Parade - Army Rites
Everyone remembers carnival parades! Who can forget the fun and splendor of the various displays at parades like Chingay? The Main Street Parade is sure to captivate the audience, both young and old. From the Vehicles to the band and precision drills, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. Participants in the parade will interact with the spectators, creating revelry and jubilation.
The parade will be lead by the Provost outriders with soldiers lining along both sides screen against spectators cutting into the parade's path, giving spectators and participants opportunities to interact.
MILITARY SHOW
Watch how the process of how a young green horn is turned into an effective fighting National Serviceman through the rite of National Service. A 10 min hilarious skit will be put up by the MDC. Expect fast paced action sequences to follow! Witness the precision drill of the Provost, unarmed combat demonstrations, chemical and biological defence demonstrations using the latest in robotics by the Combat Engineers, and to top it all off - a grand attack combination of the armoured infantry from their armoured vehicles, helicopters flypast in direct fire support and the guards rappelling down right into the spectators.

Getting there:
1. From Jurong East Interchange -
Free Ferry Service* into SAFTI-MI
2. From Boon Lay Interchange -
Take Bus Service No. 182,193 and alight outside SAFTI-MI
*First Bus to SAFTI-MI from Jurong East Interchange starts at 9.45 am daily.
For those driving, there are limited parking lots at Jurong Camp (along Upper Jurong Road). Parking lots are on a first-come-first-serve basis.
