if don go sispec then most prob will go where?Vocation training, at one of the Formation Schools (Arty, Signals, etc). The OCS & SISPEC cohorts will also attend courses there, only later. The difference between them & you is that you're obviously an "other rank".
Will they post u to a unit close to your house wan?Not necessarily, depending on what you're trained as & which outfit you're deployed to (after the course). There's also a possibility of being retained by the said School to support its training cadre. You'll get a better idea of your options once you know which Formation you've ended up, eg. which army camps their units are based in. Some NSF "old birds" could even guess your probable destination then, based on their general comprehension of who has ORD'd or is ORD-ing.

For East and North East people the chances of them posted to a camp far away from their home is greater as there is only a few camps in the East side and West people are most likelyy to posted to a camp not far away from their home as there is lots of camps in the Western side of s'pore.Originally posted by BrUtUs:always got ppl stay in east got postings at the west... jz face it...

You will have to help the MT Spec (usually a 1SG or SSG)supervise maintenance of your MT line vehicles and bring them for inspectio or repair if it breaksdown. You're sort of the IC for all the drivers in your unit.MTO, MT Spec, Transport Supervisor, Driver. All in that order.Your course will be conducted at STTS, which is now a stay-in unit for the duration of the course.Originally posted by Patrik:Yupe..sort of...except that ur rank will be 3SG and u do more than just drive...
U might be taking of the drivers' mileage or servicing...
It all depends..
hmm......this is the kind of vocation that i hope for.....more technical side wan....Originally posted by LazerLordz:You will have to help the MT Spec (usually a 1SG or SSG)supervise maintenance of your MT line vehicles and bring them for inspectio or repair if it breaksdown. You're sort of the IC for all the drivers in your unit.MTO, MT Spec, Transport Supervisor, Driver. All in that order.Your course will be conducted at STTS, which is now a stay-in unit for the duration of the course.
One bit of advice.Technical means not much less of physical stress but more mental stress.LRI.Beware of LRI.Beware: MT line personnel gets charged a lot; it's very zero-sum when it comes to vehicular accidents.
