desertion cases?

Just wondering anyone here knows of any defection/desertion cases in your unit?

Yes, I had one men who went AWOL, got caught, served DB, came out again, go AWOL and the cycle went on like 3 times, then he went AWOL once more, couldn't be found and so far, its been so long they treated him as a deserter already. I was in my unit not long ago and i still saw his name on the board listed as deserter, so I rest my case.

Desertion or AWOL is very common. Just ask the unit people. -

I got one who AWOL not long ago....& during his desertion my OC throw a lump $hit of work for me to cover up his duties.......
AWOL personnel are no different from being branded as traitors to thier own unit.
Put yourself into my shoes & u will know why!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
I think its kinda harder for us to find out about defection? If they're out, they're out, unless they wanna call back and go:"neh nee neh nee boo boo, you cannot catch me." Which I doubt any dumbo would go to all that. For defectors, run but don't ever get caught.

i noe got 1 guy from my last time unit awol. if he still dun ganna caught he should be on the run for almost 3 yrs liao. heard tat he had flee to thailand...

Because my current duties requires me to check through every parade states from every departments on the unit and I saw quite a number of them AWOL so I am interested whether it is common.....Originally posted by wuming78:any reason why u r particularly interested in such cases?

From what I saw on those parade states, only PTEs AWOL.

maybe ask the SAF to pay MPs more, so that they catch more AWOLers...
