Parachutist
Candidates who complete the Basic Airborne Course conducted at the Parachute Training Wing are awarded their 'wings'. Commandos must complete 5 combat equipment jumps and 2 night combat equipment jumps, while personnel from other vocations must do 2 clean fatigue jumps and 1 night jump. Commandos wear this badge with a red backing.

foreign guy just taps your shoulder before u jump out the plane... u get that country's badgeOriginally posted by Gordonator:so what's the story?
yeah. ive heard that too. so i postulated that if a thai, an american and an australian instructor push u off the heli at the same time, u get 3 badges with one jump. cool huh?Originally posted by kopiosatu:foreign guy just taps your shoulder before u jump out the plane... u get that country's badge

k lah when you put it that way it does sound a bit silly, but think about it - what's the diff if you do the jump in a foreign country anyway?Originally posted by kopiosatu:foreign guy just taps your shoulder before u jump out the plane... u get that country's badge
once you're a parachutist qualified, you don't have to go through another training before getting to jump in foreign land.Originally posted by Ponders:difference is the kind of training you go thru before getting to jump.
every jump to a parachutist will hv a different amosphere, no matter where he jumps.Originally posted by Gordonator:the amosphere is also different in other countries. for example, in Australia the winds are stronger down there, good control of your parachute is very important.

at the end of the ex, we award each other with the Airbrone Badges in recognize of the combine training n airborne operation.
this was how my company got this foreign Airbrone Badges in local.
hope this clearifies some of the questions.
