funny ones, heart warming ones; buddies who share their last pieces of crumbs during jcc, who helped you carry your extra water bottle when you were about to collapse during route march, or those who messed up the bunk and refused to help to clear, who siamed area cleaning but make the most noise when the sergeants or officers were around, who refused to help you carry your water bottle when you were weighed down by it but demanded to drink from it when his water ran out......
for me, my bmt buddy was super blur... and gan jiong, and this potent mixture made him very irritable as well....
my ocs "buddy" - good friend, not my bunkmate - was memorable. and we still go out together quite frequently. still reminisced those times when we cooked and shared maggie mee outfield at ROC, shared a basha in the middle of a downpour also at ROC and Brunei... my pro-term ocs buddy was, unfortunately, another weirdo. in fact my pc made him my buddy cos he thought i was able to handle him better... with him, i had to clean up my bunk after him. he was REALLI a mess!

hehe... reminds me of my fond stories...
becoz of the 8 men bunk in School Of Artillery when i was doing my Pro Term... 2 beds were joint together... so at night, after lights out, my buddy would continue to talk on the phone, then i would disturb him... by goin under his blanket, eavesdropping on him (of course he knows and he will start his trademark giggling)... so damn funny... then sometimes at night i would just suddenly pull away his blanket... and expose him... hahaha... and then sometimes we would wrestle too... haha... i gave him the DUO(2) MING(1) JIAN(3) DAO(1) JIAO(1) and have his head pinned in between my legs... hahaha...
I would say that my bunk was the most havoc one... during the last few weeks of pro-term, we had pillow fights in bunk after lights out. Our friends would then asked us next morning what happened in our bunk coz they heard noises... Managed to trick one fellow into thinking that we're abt to go pillow wallop someone from the opposite bunk, and then we locked him outside... hahahahaha...

ncc story in ang moy quee camp..
we were staying in a camp..
den at night during the bunk stuff..
The WHOLE CAMP WAS HUGEEE,
and some pple in my ncc is quite gay
so at night..we can hear moaning sounds.. no joke!
den leh..next morning we notice 1 deep hole inside one of the matresses..
den when the officer come in and the platoon i.c shout ROOM!
the officer come in and see the deep hole....
his eyes open BIG BIG
Den got 1 guy sleep NAKED ( think its a habit,NO JOKE!)
Den we all damn chek ark..wake everyone up quietly..
den when we all secretly wake up..

ya and alot alot of stuffs quite funny..
we had 1 guy who parade SBO as a bra without uniform..
by adjusting the hooks etc..
Quite sad..some keep on snoring like siao
we take blanket and "hoot" them
Some at night got strange habits 1..in NCC or in NS
also might experience..
like for example, the person beside my bunk
always like to sweep the dust from his bunk to my cupboard area..
what the hell..den saboh me..in the end keep on pushing fingers..

if u meant to say they were experimenting, then, well, perhaps, even though that also sounds... erm.. objectionable. -
i almost waded into my buddy.. wanted to bash him...
throughout the whole BMT, bloody keng.. sabo people... got out of course and no need to recourse... never go for any exercises... still keep complaining...
when vocations were issued, he was going to become "optical instruments tech" at OETI.. strictly stay out... easy vocation... still complain that OETI is far from his house..
almost killed him... pulled back by platoonmates who said it was not worth it... -
Think NCC should organise more camps ..hope can reach the feedback unit..
the camp only 1 year once..thats why quite hard to adapt..
den somemore a few cried say want meet papa , mama..
Sadly..there was a armour storage for vehicles..
den got 1 sort of fence blocking us from looking at them..
Anyway , there are alot of places in the base non-access to us 1..
Think we qualify only as visitors..
neverthless, we went to draw arms..and the M-16 is so greasy siah..
hands touch also got smell 1..den had to account for it
Remember 1st time draw arms for live-firing on NCC,
keep on checking my uniform whether got spare bullets fall out or whatever..
the officer keep on saying..jail 7 years jail 7 years jail 7 years..
now the only sentence i remember is take 1 firing pin jail 7 years..
take another thing also jail 7 years

My only Army "buddy" (as commonly defined) was the one I had in BMT. He could do 28 chin-ups & run a 10:05 2.4km, but got graded PES C1 like the rest of us cuz he must've stood only 1.49 metres tall. Absolutely cannot clear the SOC low wall on his own! I ended up constantly sharing the detail with him, giving him a leg-up & pushing his butt over every time. Never saw him again after Tekong.
I also hit it off warmly with this budding singer who was in my platoon section. He was already signed to a record company, & thus was a bit of an informal White Horse in Delta Coy. How chummy were we? Enough to arrange for me to "date" his then-fellow shi mei, Delphine Cai, for our POP function - had to fight off a lot of platoon suitors for the honor. Delphine Cai is better known as Cai Xing Juan, the petite Taiwanese songbird. Yup, that's how old I am! ~lol~
Anyways, when I started vocation-training onwards, there's no more "buddy-buddying". It's more about "kaki-kakiying", whether it's in camp, out in the field, or going to tea dances/discos on weekend bookouts. -
my BMT buddy is this big fellow, wear size 12 boots. okok fellow, not very helpful. but i still like him a lot, he's the biggest guy in my section, and i have him as my buddy, always have this feeling if i got shot or anything, he will be the one able to carry me off the battlefield. he's very fit too, disrupted during the PTP phase with a pass in IPPT and got 2 more weeks of cilvilian life before BMT, leaving me buddyless for 2 weeks as i didn't pass my IPPT...
anyway he's now a combat enginneer, as a bridging engineer sgt.

My BMT buddy OOCed but stayed on because his medical status did not clear. He got the golden number 333. Platoon 3 section 3 bed 3 so everytime there was a problem a commander posted he'll zero in to that number. But because of his OOC status, his buddy gets it. 334 the ultimate suay number.

My BMT buddy is a honest and 'nice to bully'
(I didn't bully him) who have a girlfriend who they go steady for 6 years already and his father is a 2nd warrant officier. -
my BMT buddy is a brainless, useless, pathetic, pampered, mommy's boy moron.
Got some stories to tell, but i usually save it for normal conversations... later i might type it out hahaha
