If this was the mid-'80s, my guess is you would likely have been posted to Air Defence Artillery (post-Tekong). A couple of my similarly-underweight schoolmates ended up there. Another, to his dismay, was sent to the School of Signals & subsequently struggled physically with a combat unit. -

well, with your height and weight, u might find it hard to clear SOC. not to mention route march with 2 full water bottle, heavy field pack with rifle.

Moxie: LOL! During my uncle's time which was donkey years back ago you know, my uncle was also underweight yea, his lecturer wrote a letter for him to SAF and he got EXCUSED from serving his national service as he was underweight! YEA MAN!

Actually, I consider Air Defence Arty to be a good gig if you can get in there. They've now renamed it DA Battalion, but as the former SADA it was considered "combat", albeit physically "2nd-line of defence combat"* - but also too operational-ready to be lumped together with the more generic PDF forces.
One viewpoint then was that they get the soldiers who're legitimately combat-fit, but lacks the ideal physical characteristics for army delpoyment one way or another. But educational qualifications also play a big factor, given the sophisticated weapons (SAMs, radar, AA guns) they have to operate.
They also have these FDS's (Field Defence Squadrons) who're basically infantry troops protecting the air bases, though I'm not sure how they're presently organized with conscripts. It used to be that some PDF reservists were redeployed there.
Overall, it's comparatively a small force - only 2 "active" DA Battalions if I'm correct - & thus may not recruit NSF's en masse if they replenish via the ORD method.
*Not really true, cuz their standby status is supposedly very super-on for everyone (inc. reservists) due to the aerial theatre they're expected to war in & also due to the sensitiveness of their equipment. But I heard that life isn't as physically exhausting for them when compared to army. -
Concerning the ADA intake for NSFs, they usually take in 100 NSFs per BMT batch (both Officers and Specialists)
Anyway, I won't consider them "second-rate" to army vocations as I'm sure many will tell you. The amount of physical training they go through usually means that they can do min. 20+ chin ups each by the end of the course. This trains them to carry all the heavy equipment they have to manpack around. -
