Actually, the same problem exists in corporate life. People come and go. Their experience is lost sometimes. To some extent, corporations embark on "codification" programmes, to record and dissimilate such experiential knowledge. I guess the SAF is slow to pick this up... as "codification" was a hot topic some 5 years ago in corporate culture.
