My bf is an officer just graduate from OCS and had posted to SIB. Heard is something about manpower but not sure what they do inside. So anyone can explain more what they do inside because i am quite interested heee.

SIB = Singapore Infantry Brigade; i.e. brigade HQ.
Many staff functions to support brigade commander to run the operations of brigade. Brigade commander usually LTC/COL. Head of each function usually MAJ. Junior officers usually hold assistant posts.
2LT who just got commissioned fresh out of OCS -- my guess is he will get to do plenty of dirty jobs.
Many brigade exercises -- you won't be seeing him much. -

Most likely desk job. A good gig would be him heading his small department snugly within a certain part of the camp, like QM (Quartermaster) or equivalent.
The "bad" thing for him is that a 2LT is quite small fly in that level of command HQ, compared to his fellow commissioned counterparts who'll be relatively big shots with frontline units. If he kena DY something (DY = deputy), IMO it's really no better than a glorified pencil-pusher. -
ya bf report to SIB on 7th oct is it? which SIB?

sounds like DY S1 (manopwer officer), shit job. My roomie at 2 SIB was one. We used to sleep till 11 am (seriously) and he had to be in the office 8 sharp. poor guy.
