well, just wondering, if your dad WAS a BG(as in dad retired liao), would you still kinda get white hourse treatment? and does a BG really retire?

Hmm.I wonder too.BGs here are quite a select few, who knows, in times of cinflict, they might be recalled for leadership or planning purposes at rear HQs.Although any BG worth his star would volunteer to lead the troops into battle.

Well, retired BGs tend to be given some senior post elsewhere upon retirement from the SAF, such as CEO, director or VP of some GLC or ministry. I was part of the troops when COL Lim TY went for his Armour conversion course .... Come to think of it, one thing's always puzzled me - who the hell saw fit to squeeze a guy that size into a tiny tank?!
