Which planes? F-16/A4-SU/F-5/C-130Originally posted by tristan21:this was quite a funny yet severe incident that happened during one of my currency jumps.
the C130 pilot must have been jerking off too much and lost his bearings.
he flew too close to the hangers and some of my guys landed on the planes parked outside. it was pretty nasty for them i presume. cos we were never trained to land on foreign objects like planes.... hahahaha.....
you must be thinking why don't they avoid....
sometimes, it's really hard to control those military chutes,
the best they could do was to land on the wings, but risk falling another short distance down to the ground.
the stuff on the planes are pretty sharp too.
so they landed on the planes, the CO or god knows who saw it or heard from the control tower, came rushing out and scolding our people for damaging his god-damn planes. it was hilarious.
not sure what happened to that pilot though.

well spoken, especially the last paragraph. sigh~~! how i wish i'm in a combat unit now. i'm sick of my current vocation. it's getting monotonous.Originally posted by tristan21:You know, you can request to get into commandos if you really want to.
I heard of cases of people submitting NRIC numbers to S1 so that they will get the 2nd letter for medical and physical tests.
Anyone can make it there.
It may sound mentally and physically tough., but i guess it's one's mindset and the undying strength you get from each and everyone of your platoon mates to carry on that got me through the initial phase.
After that, you will feel that anything is possible.
Commandos are also human and everyone were students in the same schools that everyone else go to. It's not the people that are special, it's the training. I believe that commando training can really nurture a man from the boys we are. I'm not saying that the other units don't do that. You really have to suffer a bit then you can grow up.
I have always advised pre-NSF people that either way you also have to get through the 2 or 2 1/2 yrs, why don't join a combat unit and make lots of friends and have fun? What's so fun going to the office everyday and doing shitloads of paperwork? You will be doing almost the same thing for the rest of your life anyway.
