Hey anyone here gone through SAF-ITE Sponsorship Scheme or Polytechnic-Saf diploma scheme interview??
Bring What also to the Interview ar?
How to register? Through the internet or Straight go Cmpb? -

For my case,
I sign Signal Spec. under JPSDS,
I send my application thru the net,
They send me a letter, asking me to go interview.
If you pass the interview, you are required to do a NAPFA.
For certain vocation like mine, I have to go thru a second round of interview and a medical.
After you cleared everything, you muz wait lor, WHICH I AM STILL DOING, WAITING... -

First of all, after u hand in ur application form, dey will contact u to go to down to CMPB for a career talk if u havnt been to 1 yet.
After that, u will attend an interview. Following which, u have to go for a medical check-up to determine ur PES status. If PES A or B, get ready to go for another interview, this time to actually determine whether u are qualified to be recruited.
When u cleared this, a letter will be sent to u asking u to bring your most current results to them. If ur results make it, then they will arrange a date for you to go sign contract. After that, u have to decide a date for your gaurantors to go sign plenty of documents.
Wait for them to process everything and get ready to receive your money! -

maybe only for service vocations, for combat vocations i think exam results not that important. -

They ask all those silly questions, exactly like wat u expect when u go 4 an interview, regardless whether in armed forces or outside loh. e.g:
1. y u wan to join?
2. wat good qualities u possess?
3. some may ask u a bit on your personal life like how many members in your family( 1 of the officers ask me tis qn when i went for the interview for dunno wat reason)
4. Bcos i was from NCC(AIR), therefore they asked me qns regarding the air force. If u r not from NCC(AIR), den i tin dey may skip off this part.
Generally can expect these qns to be asked. My fren oso went for the interview, he was oso asked the same qns.
Btw, during the first interview, there is only 1 officer interviewing u. During the 2nd interview, there are 2 officers. (Initially there was 3 but i tin 1 of them cannot make it due to some reasons) -
Btw, can i ask which service u are signing under(Air Force, Navy or Army) and as a what vocation?

and selection is simple and acceptance rate is very high...
steps are:
1. Send in application thru post, internet or call Navy Recruitment Centre 1800 278-0000
2. Goes for briefing
3. Goes for meical Checkup. After tt, wait for them to contact u to go for interview.
4. Goes for interview with the friendly and long serving Mr Siao. He recruits many generations of naval personnel liao... After interview waits for them to do admin jobs and ask u come sign contract. Usu u will be accepted if u got no problems like medical or courts cases etc..
5. Goes back to NRC to sign the Contract.
6. U are in the NAVY liao... and GOOD LUCK is all i can say -
hi, i am under the JPSDS scheme for the Army...
my vocation is Armour Infantry Leader, i chose to join Guards at first, but they say Guards dont wanna recruit regulars liao....
my process of signing up is done, and i am getting $1000 per month, credited into my bank account. the transfer is done quarterly, meaning every 3 months transfer $3000...
1st. u sign up, via internet, or personally at CMPB SAF Career Centre
2nd. they will send a letter to ask u to go for an interview.
3rd. medical checkup at CMPB, and determine ya PES status, see u combet fit anot, and see if u fit to join the vocation u chose anot. its the same as those enlistees one.
4th. they will ask u to go down to CMPB for contract signing, but muz listen to briefing first. to let u noe the consequences if u break bond, and the benefits u can get if u stay in the army for a long term. they will also give u a form to gather information on your 2 guarantors, or surety.
5th. after u find ya 2 guarantors, fill up the form and send back to CMPB. (they will give u a free envoplone at stage 4 also, dont need postage one.)
6th. call the DXO and make an appointment to get ya 2 guarantors and u to sign the deed. so u can get the money, and SAF dun need to worry u run away, coz got 2 guarantors to find and get the money... again, the officer will tok to the guarantors abt the contract and their responsibilities.
7th. the last stage! after everything done, they will send u a letter to ask u to SURRENDER ya PINK I/C......
to change to a GREEN I/C.... yup, now i only got green i/c, no more pink i/c..... and ya service status will be known as REGULAR.... 
yup...... thats all! -

then after all these admin stuff, an assigned mentor from the vocation u choose will contact u.... usually a senior specialist lar....
i met my mentor, a 1WO from armour during Army Open House in early September....
if u wanna join then hurry! coz it took me about 4-6months to finish the above mentioned process..
