I got chosen for Guards Scouts interview but I filled in my eyesight as 600 in each eye...

For e.g. I'm told that wreckie is xiong and arti is comparatively slacker... -

1st 3 weeks is to attend lesson on various infantry weapons and navigation skills...den will be followed by outfield ex...chiong sua....followed by 2 Major ex...ex nutcracker(dig fire trench..wahahaha) ex grandslam and naviagtion ex wanderer...(i encountered a damn big wild boar that is like 2m away from me/swt).......After all that...it will be the 32KM pop route march.Originally posted by sKeL`:eh sispec u all first week do wat one?

Route march seldom...ET run a lot......compared to BMTC 3km ET run..u will do like 5-8km ET run in BSLC...and if u go ASLC...u will run more n more the the dist will be longer n longer till like 13km to train for the 22KM run.
Now army where got "siong"....Go in run den pretend to faint faint..they all panicked like siao.......Now veri welfare liao.....from wat i heard like no more changing parade... -

wah lau so gd ar....last time dig trench till siao...luckily no hard rocks...my grandslam suay...kenna rainy day....have to prone n sleep in rain....then my opp company nutcracker ex oni 2days 1 nite sia....but they suay kenna rainy day..when they all returned....all covered in mud...brown colour instead of green colour uniform lol.Originally posted by BeEtHoVeN:no more nutcracker liao

Din know SISPEC is still having Ex. Nutcracker and Ex. Grandslam since my SISPEC days back in 1994 at Pasir Laba Camp ... but previously, we have to go through 8 weeks of trade course after BMT before Infantry Section Leaders' Course(now is BSLC?). We are still eating the old combat rations which consists of sardines, baked beans and pork cubes (chicken for muslims), those were the days ...
My Ex. Nutcracker happened at Mandai forest, or Jalan Ulu Sembawang, whereas Ex. Grandslam is at Tekong. Former SAF RSM SWO Gunga (then 1WO) was my company 2IC then and my PC was 2WO Loy Tuck San, a tall and slim fatherly-look Ranger (now could be MWO/SWO already). -
