RSAF's Ying Yang Logo 73-90

  RSAF planes have been using the Chinese "Ying Yang" Emblem since 73'
  after the british forces left...
  
  Question is..
  
  1. Why was it chosen?
  
  2. For what purpose does it serve?
  
  3. What meaning does it have on RSAF Planes?
  
  (After reading up some books on SAF, i didn't managed to find out the answer..)

  the black white combi signifies Day and Night...an eagle with black/white background means vigilance for day and night or something like dat
