enlistment procedures

hi, if me and my friends enlist on the same day but at different time, does that mean that we are in the same coy but diiff platoons ?
and how many people are there normally in a platoon and a coy?
also, on enlistment day, when your family goes there, what do they do? do you get to lunch with them until they go off or u are directly sent to the barber??
btw, which school is better, sch 1 or 2?

The progress of enlistment is as follows:
Take the shuttle bus from Pasir Ris to SAFFT
Take the ferry from SAFFT to Tekong
Give your NRIC to MINDEF ppl n receive your 11B which will be your NRIC through your NSF life and a barang barang sling bag while your parent will have a bus tour to visit Tekong BMTC
Go to the authorium to have the oath session....... It can take a hell long time as it needs to wait for your parents to come then it will start
Lunch/Dinner with your parents
Your parents will depart back to mainland S'pore while you will going to sign an agreement -
Note that your duffel bag will probably be a black coloured bag with wheels.The boots have been changed again.On the first day, there will be a logisitical nightmare because there are loads of recruits coming in at one go, so , be prepared to wait a long time before you are kitted and even get your perm bunk and platoon.Bring a bottle of water, not too small.It can be tiring and weary for many of you.This is from past experience, when you open up your duffel bag and check your kit, more often than not, the items may not be complete.Do sound out asap and check that your stuff fits you, so that you won't be unnecessarily inconvenienced.

haha yeah thanks, but think i'm not enlisting so soon lah, still a long way to go, just that i'm abit kiasu u see.. enlisting on jan 6 actually.. so still a long way to go.
anyway when will my hair be cut? when my family members are there or when they are gone?? they're all gloating that they can see me with my bald head.

yeah but actually its kinda sissy to be wearing the no 4 and dragging a duffle bag on wheels as if going for a holiday or like those pri 1 kids with the trolley bags. anyway i think the wheels will only add weight to the back because it will probably spoil in a few weeks use given the way we'll treat those duffle bags.
and besides, you're not gonna bring everything home when you book out right so most probably u will bring your own bag right??
but i'm looking forward to getting the gore-tex jacket.. saw one army guy wearing that day when i went for the ndp rehearsal.. looks really cool... haha.. -

As 4 ur hair u will b make to change into pt kit n fall in at e training shed 4 ur 1st bota hair cut after ur parents r gone. They will only c ur bota head on e 2nd wk, during parents visiting day or earlier if there is a public holiday in between.
Sch 1 or sch 2 siong? It all depends on heng suay. Both schs hve siong n lobo companies in them. So is either u kana a very siong one or a lobo coy. Just keep ur fingers cross!
As 4 e black "SIA" bag, u r very lucky, dun need to carry on ur back, nw gt wheels. U knw hw heavy it was during my time...1 big green alibaba bag + ur own CV bag u need to carry. 2 big bags to carry n had 2 walk a very far distance to my coy line. BTW u use e field pack provided to bk in n out. Recs can't use their own CV bags.
4 e info of e others, e new black "SIA" bag is ava @ emart in cash or credit for $30.

That jacket ar, you dun feel a thing when everyone else is wearing camo colours around you. If you wear it out alone, prepare to be singled out. Imagine you wear that thing out with cv clothing, people behind your back go:"poseur lah!", "saf personnel!".

Black "SIA" bag could just be a change for the times. Afterall, a lot of SAF training overseas now. NS ppl & Regulars can save money... don't need to buy luggage.

recruit now get new black duffle bag. (still prefer the ali baba bag though)
recruit now get a free goxtex raincoat.
recruit now get s pair of free sandal.
recruit now get comabt pay.
during my time where got all this. and i only enlisted last year, so much different in 1 year. -

I hv many friends from Alpha coy n yes, many of them went to SISPEC n OCS except those who can't meet their critera.
There are 10-13 ppl in a BMTC bunk...... -
In BMT, greet anyone who has a rank on the sleeve or the epaulette
ALWAYS greet someone who wears the rank of the epaulette (shoulders) and has a Red Beret -
haha why wont the person with the red beret be in hendon??
anyway, just curious, if a commando is posted out to other units, will he still hold his red beret or will he have to give up the red beret? meaning that he has already completed his BCT and all..
also, is there anyone who goes to commando school for BCT after they pass out of OCS?
