Vectrors' SP1 and SP2 are similar in design, the only differences are in caliber and magazine capacity. Moreover, SP2 could be converted into 9mm modification with installation of new 9mm barrel, recoil spring and magazine. Both guns are blowback-operated, locked breech designs with falling block locking mechanism, inherited from Vector Z88 pistol, which, in turn, is a clone of the famous Beretta 92 handgun.
Features of the SP1 and SP2 are - barrels with polygonal rifling for improved accuracy and barrel life; ambidextrous manual safety mounted on the frame; automatic firing pin safety.
Both guns are quite heavy, despite the fact that they have alluminium alloy frames, but the heavy weight could improve manageability of the pistols in the rapid fire, so it should not be considered as a major drawback.

browning HP, could have used it.
Never heard of them using Berreta 92f and Colt M1911.
During Ops Tekong Manhunt, I actually see people carrying it. -

I fired the vector before. Not as well compensated as one might expect. Heavy. But rather accurate if you are trained.
BTW you forgot H&K P7. Simple, safety grip, and light. Fixed barrel. The conventional pistols use floating/movable barrel. -
Only CSM and PC carry the sidearm in infantry, Sig p226.

CSM and PC?Hmmmz....even on exercise?Always see them standard equipment lehz.M16 or SAR21.Tot PC and CSM shud also equipped with Carbines not full length M16...but...still the same lehz.Must carry the standard.
(**Stray off alittle,hey any of you guys see a Car-15/M4 carbine equipped with the M203 grenade launcher in the SAF?As remember some trooper telling me before that SAF does not use attach shotguns/M203 to carbines.

I would think 3SIR would use a dedicated shotgun for breeching.Probably it would be wielded by the soldier in the current Sharpshooter role.But that's my humble opinion.
