  where the hell in singapooe do you need a insect repellant? wonder if the shop by the pulau ubin jetty carry them or not.

  So y do civilians need insect repellent 4? Unless they go camping. But there r a lot of diff brands out there, like e spray type. Or if u use it at hme, gt e electronic type. Usually if u need army stuff, u will ask ur bro, ur uncle, ur son or ur neighbour to get it 4 u 4 free. Dun mean that u r nt a nsf or nsman u cant get free army products. Look @ e army pt shoes, i c young boys, old uncles even aunties wearing them....!!....hw did they get them?? haha, u should knw.

  4 me is nt worth it to spend $ on army products where i can or ask my friends to get it 4 me 4 free!

  well, if the military is smart enuff to clear their old stocks, and some supermart thinks that the items can be sold for profit, then it's a WIN-WIN situation. The military will get back its funds thru this sale. I can't say that it is a smart move for the supermart, since i suspect few people will even buy from them when they can get the SAF items for "free"/credits.
  
  However, if they were bought by certain individuals and re-sold to the supermart... Is it wrong anyway?

  Wah piang, you so sheltered? Even "urban" Singapore is reporting record-setting dengue numbers this year.
  
  Lots of mosquitos, sandflies, et al. in the less-developed areas as well. Servicemen stock up on "OFF" sprays & portable mosquito-coil pans too, even bringing them to field training.
