So are you trying to tell me that car salesman can sell but not at expense of the public?? insurance agents can sell but not at the expense of the public?? A business can sell anything but not at the expense of public??? You know how to say that its a cruel world out there, ppl trying to refund cos they are not doing well...... at least there is a avenue made available to refund....
Do you supposed when you start a business, buy stocks, did renovation, paid rental, paid advertising and when business fails, you ask the landlord for refund of rentals and the advertising firms for refund on your advertisements???
Yes continuous upgrading for lifelong learning, I agree, but does that mean job security??? I have personally seen 2 frens from different banks working hard, same qualifications but when the 2 banks merge, one has to go..... so is that fair??? is that certain????

I'm sorry to say your friends did not upgrade their skills and banks retrenchment is part and parcel of the business world. And to upgrade their skills mean to learn a new skill like mid career switch.
The successful MLMers may only be successful at the present moment but down the road, can you guarantee they will be successful in the future?
I'm sorry I'm not talking sense to you as you only see the good side of MLM, while highlighting the bad side of MLM, you still try to see the good out of it. You know it's like trying to talk to a smoker about the bad health effects of smoking but the smoker still chooses to smoke. Sad to say that's what I am getting the impression from your posts. -

not quite true. i had friends who were axed because the sup. don't like them. plenty of those who should go, didn't. was a sad day. so, my say is, retrenchment can be because of anything, not just lack of skills.
cepat, just as you feel that continuous upgrading can keep you employable, is (probably) true, someone who decided to put in his/her all can succeed in MLM. being employable is a single person benefit (i'm not sure how to phrase it) but if one is successfully in MLM, it can only mean (if one is not a crook, and crooks can be anywhere, not just MLM) that his/her up/downline are doing their job and are successful as well. one can't keep harping on some bad points of system and ignore it positive side. cepat, you said it yourself a couple of post back. so please be fair.
a good workmen never blame his tools. it's his/her skills at wielding said tools that's wanting. -

It been some time since I last seen a topic worth replying.
Well I will like to voice out a few of my optional especially to Cepat.
1. I throughly agree the path to a better and successful life lie in upgrading oneself. However, upgrading doe not necessary mean getting a degree or master or even a PhD. It does not necessary mean learning new skills. Upgrading oneself mean more. It also mean a change in mindset, the way you think and look, a change in lifestyle and many more. Simply example, you can be a PhD, but ur attitude suck, you cant get along well and work with the rest of the people in the company, then you need to upgrade ur attitude.
2. I hope you do understand that I am not saying paper qualification is not important. It does in giving you a good start, but it does not guarantee a smooth sail in your career or life. They are many more factors that will determine your success in career and life. You and I both know that it isnt just as simple and as easy as that.
3. If you are currently working maybe you shall ask your supervisior what paper qualification your boss had. Or ask many more other successful business men/women what their paper qualification are. From some sucessful business friends and partner I know of many arent even a degree holder and yet many degree holders are working for them.
4. Well I believe we have our fair share of meeting unethical businessmen and salemen in our life before. Some of them are even from well know companies. That only show us one thing, in any companies and any fields there will always be unethical people doing unethical things. But it may not be the companies fault. The main problem lie in these unethical people themselves. Come on we even have unethical degree employees dont we?
5. To round thing up, it doesnt matter whether you are an employee, a businessman or a MLMer. What really matter is you, yourself. If success in career and life is so simple and easy like what others have say just get a PhD or just join MLM, then we wont have the 20% of the people is earning 80% of the money rule. Getting a PhD or join a MLM Company is just one of the step you had taken. They both lead to the same place but the path there wont be easy and are you ready to walk there with a mindset ready to handle all the problems, failures and storm ahead of you.

I think you are too quick to pass judgement. There are crooks in every trade and every place not only MLM business. So just because there are bad apple among them, all should be condemned. Please exercise some restraint in your words, don't say cruel things just because you have been wronged in the past. -
I agree with Cepat that it is a dog eat dog world out there.. and a lot of pple actually will do anything to sabotage others for one's own gain...
I personally am upset at the real society out there.. and thats why I am very glad to be doing a true business that one can only succeed through honesty and integrity and thus the money earned is clean
If one resorts to conning etc, it is impossible to succeed, that is why this business is truly a fair business that rewards people for their true sincerity
